ACR Missing Barrel Indexing Pin - Where can I buy?

Hi guys (and girls),

I have just noticed that my ACR is missing it`s barrel indexing pin. Basically this pin functions to stop the barrel from turning while in the receiver.

So, where can I buy a barrel indexing pin. I think it is similar to an AR15 barrel indexing pin....

I ordered the pin from True North Arms.

I`m just glad I noticed this freakin pin was missing.....it could have bent my gas rod as all the torque was on it.....

Just hope that your receiver extension hasn’t turned otherwise it’s FUBAR.

Mind if I ask if this was a Dlask barrel? My Dlask barrel indexing pin disappeared during one of my cleanings as well (should not be doing that as it is pressed in with tremendous force)

The index pin's sole job is to index the barrel. The pin does not mechanically lock the barrel extension in place (although some people do like to set them into the threads), 150 ft/lbs of torque keeps it from unthreading (unless you're one of a couple Canadian manufacturers, then you just use loctite and a prayer ;) ).

It's not THAT much force.......but it is enough that, you're right, it shouldn't fall out.
