There's a calculator out there that gives an estimate of accurate barrel life. I'd guess accurate bbl life of a 6.5 is in between 2 and 3k shots. Less if you shoot rapid fire alot. .308 accurate bbl life is about 8k.

But the bbl will still shoot past it's accurate life. You just get the groups opening up. Probably close to what these guns shoot with the stock bbl

I’m aware of averages/estimates and calculators. I’m more interested in someone’s personal experience:d

I put in 40 grains of H4350 with the listed powder heat potential of 3990 and I got 2,141 shots of accurate barrel life. I also put in values for .308. I couldn't find the heat potential for varget, so I used 3990. So, for 46 grains, the accurate barrel life of .308 is 2,999 shots. I'd take the calculator with a grain of salt as there are way too many variables as to be able to solidly calculate barrel life. That said, I'd pay attention to group sizes once I reached 2,000 shots out of a 6.5, and 3,000 for a .308.

Fair enough beltfed. I have no experience with 6.5. I would be interested as well since I bought one of the BA barrels!

Hey OP, what barrel wrench did you use? I bought one of the magpul ar 15 barrel wrenches, assumed it would work for the BCL, but it's way too small.

I handled a maccabee yesterday. Those things are gonna kill it. Absolutely no wobble between the upper and lower, and because they can't fit an ar15 lower, they are non-restricted.

upper lower wobble is because it's screwed together not pinned, regardless upper lower wobble has no relevance to anything regarding quality or accuracy
