Does any one have any experiences with Macon stocks out of Warsaw M.O. I know they are a US company and all ,, But they seem too produce stocks for a lot of guns for sure ,, was Hoping maybe some one had some history or dealing with these guys before I spend my Money

I ordered a stock set from them for one of my lever actions. I believe their site states 90% inletted. I emailed them first to inquire about the degree of skill one would have to have to finish the inletting. They said minimal skill required. Well that was bs lol. It is really a job for a gunsmith to do. The outside shaping is largely complete save for some minor issues. The inletting and fitting however, is a different story. I would call the inlet on the set I bought, about 75% complete at best.

I couldn't do anything with the two customers supplied to me ,one was actually spliced and glued together at the head ! and one was supplied with o drops at heel and comb ...basically unusable

I ordered front and rear stocks for a Stevens Favorite from them. Definitely required some fitting and finishing, but the quality of the wood used was quite nice, and i was pleased with the finished product. That said, if a person doesn't have the skills and tools to finish the stock, probably not the company for you.

I have also been happy with replacement stocks for Winchester 1892's over the years. Normally they are 1/4 inch over size and require some final sanding to fit to the gun. I think I might have replaced a Winchester model 97 butt stock from them as well. I will use them again

There are a lot of negative feedback about them online and unless they chaned their ways I would avoid them.depending on what type of stock your looking for I d take a look at tree one carving they seem to produce a good product especially if your looking at wood for a lever or single shot

Old model 14 Remington pump rifle . It is just a shooter ,, but would like too replace the butt stock .. they have them for 80 dollars and the pump wood for 60 >>>>I would be getting a gun smith too fit it but was hoping some one had some knowledge on this firm

Not that it matters a lot and I FOUND IT no problem .. but it is tree bone carving .. Just so others may find it .. Good looking site for sure

I pour concrete for a living and my wood working skills are too be desired too say the least ..I have built a few doghouses out of plywood that keeps the dogs out of the snow .. but not pretty.... you most likely would not want me building kitchen cupboards
