I bought one of these from WSS' closeout sale and have found it to be completely unuseable. I'm wondering how many others have had the same experience with this scale and if anyone found a way to get it to work. Here's what I've done and how it has performed. Set it up on the same solid, level base as my RCBS 5-0-5 (which works beautifully), there are no fans in the room, temp is very stable, tried turning off the lights, tried new batteries, waited over 15 mins for warm up. The scale drifts wildly all over. It will pass cal with its 10g weight but will not stay at any reading. It starts small, usually + or - 0.2 - 0.3 gr at first and will swing above and below zero. Then the number slowly groes to as much as 3 grs for a total swing of 6 full grains. It does this at zero with pan, negative reading without pan and with weight in the pan. It will not stabalize no matter how long I wait. Sometimes it will re zero and hold for maybe 30 seconds tops then off it goes swinging all over again. I sent it to Korth for warranty and received a new one that does the exact same thing. But all I see on the internet is good reviews. What have your experiences been with this scale?

I’ve had the GS-1500 for 3 years and it’s worked very well. Weighs the same as my 505
and 10-10 beam scales. I thought of getting one of them but also have a Hornady electronic bench scale.
I would phone Hornady and see what they will do. Korth is good and are the warranty depot but Hornady will make it right.

Tried that, they referred me to Korth who facilitated the warranty. Got the same performance (or lack thereof) from the replacement.

That sucks I'm glad I didn't buy one of the at WSS when they still had them. I went through the same thing with a Hornady LNL beam scale. Went through three of them until Seth from Hornady sent me a electronic LNL bench scale instead. Its been working great for a couple years now. I can't say anything good about the LNL beam scale from Hornady.
As far as the GS-1500 I have I only used it for setting up and checking my powder drops on the progressives I use. I don't use it to load or trickle up each case as one would with a single stage press.
Since getting the bench scale it stays plugged in and on all the time and gets used the most. I still check the charge on a Ohaus 10-10 that is set up beside it. Though the electronic ones are sure easier I still haven't got a 100% trust in them but it has been right on with the 10-10 since I've gotten it.
Its the ####s to have to do it but I would keep sending it back till you get one that works, your money back or something else.
