Does vortex go on sale ever?

I'm looking at picking up a strike eagle, and was hoping I'd find one on sale for boxing day. Seems like every sale lists vortex as exempt. Do the decent vortex optics (I.e. Not the crossfire) ever go on sale? Or do they force vendors to maintain a minimum price?

Most stores seem to be priced at MAP (minimum advertised price) these days. Maybe due to so much competition? Since everybody pretty well sells vortex

I think Vortex has restrictions on minimum advertised pricing(MAP) for their products, it's a way to keep the profit margin attractive to their dealers. However, in store sale pricing is up to the reseller.

FWIW, my local shops regular price on the 1-6x24 SE was $460, which was already cheaper than I could find online. They had a Black Friday unadvertised sale with an additional 15% off so I bought one. After much researching with all the CGN sponsors, I could not find a better price online.

Damn, I would buy one for just north of $400 any day. Unfortunately I'm out of town until Friday. Maybe I'll send off some emails...

They don't generally go on sale as the pricing is controlled from the supplier... *MAP* or whatever it's called.

I have seen from CGN sponsors that 'discontinued' models can be drastically cut in price for clearance. Most of the time there is no other sales put on these as they're not really supposed to.

Cabelas and other big box stores don't care as I'm sure they're large volume Vortex dealers and Vortex wouldn't rip out their brand from their stores... wouldn't make sense.

This is just what I see. Discontinued models seem to be the most discounted on a regular basis. They're good to buy as even if you run over it with your car, Vortex will fix it or send you a new one.

Holy crapper. Buy another one and sell it to me? Haha. Where'd you get it?
That was a Black Friday sale when the shop had 15% off Vortex sale, specifically mentioned the Crossfire models in the flyer. But when in store I asked and the sales clerk said all Vortex so I bought the SE. Too bad that was a month ago otherwise I’d be happy to help you out. Island Outfitters is the shop in Victoria.

Vortex scopes are always on sale . You pay for one and get two or three after the first one pukes . Actually you get one and pay for three . That covers the warranty .
