New! Ruger RPR rimfire trainer!

Nice trainer without breaking the bank . I heard a while ago that Tikka may be coming out with a rimfire trainer as well. Probably no release till after Shot Show though.

Ruger seems to be pretty good at getting new products up here quickly enough, so I’m hoping to have one in time for gopher season.

I’d expect that, given Ruger’s typical marketing strategy, this year will be just this model and then enhanced models and increased caliber selection later next year.

Kinda overkill for a 22 shooting 50 yards, I agree tho this in 17hmr would definitely peak my interest. My 10/22 can shoot dime groups at 50 yards with ease and it is also semi auto.

Maybe you missed the point of a cross trainer. Sure your 10/22 can shoot awesome. But it won't feel like your RPR PRS gun if you don't need to run the bolt

And with taking a bx1 and a bx15 mag the bx25 should go right in and be legal as there is no mag restriction on a bolt action rifle

Not breaking the bank....on ammunition. Yes.

The bank already broke on the rifle if 825 USD is the right price (did a 2 min research).

Ouch, then you got to add the distributors profit / “Canadian import tax” / “DMR” tax or whatever you call it now and it won’t be much cheaper than the current RPR

The point of this is for training barricade and positional stuff, and shooting it out to 200 yards to practice wind calls.
I've built many one hole at 50 yards 10/22's, and none of them would be appropriate for use as a trainer.

50m/yards is hardly an impressive measure of accuracy on 22lr, try 100 or 200. Things get really tricky at 300.

Try getting a proper AICS trainer in 22lr then get back to me on how expensive and difficult it is to get a trainer that mimics the bigger gun. This is awesome news especially for the guys that want to train on a RPR. Yes a chassis gun would be more money, that's a lot of metal getting machined. This is comparable to cz 455 with that manners stock in price.

Of course this is assuming this performs well, the performance I got out of my old ruger american rimfire was mediocore, definitely gopher grade, but it was not as accurate as my friends savage mkii or the cz455. If you pay this much money and it performs meh, then I can understand why the owner would be upset.

That's awesome news, where did you hear that? A tikka 22lr would be epic.

Where did you do your research? :d The link to Ruger’s website in the first post shows the MSRP as $529 USD. All in all, very reasonable of why you are getting.
