Sig Super Target - scratching that 1911 itch.

Merry Christmas to me.

I stared shooting with a norc 1911.
Now I’m back to the 1911 with this gorgeous sig.
Fits my hand like a glove.
I hope the CFO is fast these next few weeks.

Is the Super Target a true target grade pistol? Or another variant of SIG’s 1911 marketing department?

He hasn't had it to the range yet. He was complaining about 0 degree temperatures being too cold to shoot outdoors...

What's a true target pistol?

Something more than target sights, “match barrel” and target trigger.
Something like a Les Baer Premier or even a Series 70 Colt Gold Cup.
Not knocking your SIG. It is a beautiful gun and worthy of being in a collection. I had a SIG TTT ( Two Tone Target) with a Match barrel, adjustable sights and a trigger that looks like yours. It was fine but only a target pistol in name only. I have a feeling that all SIG 1911s shoot alike and the rest is cosmetic. Just my guess but others may chime in?
