Ruger releases the new PC Carbine

This is definitely a completely new action; I wonder if it can accommodate the .44mag round. What magazine would it use?

Even in 9mm, a NR version of this would be appealing.

ive always wanted a PC9 to go with my P89 and wow has this resparked my interest!

ya know, with the TD version of this they should be able to do like they have done with the 10/22 TD and make all sorts of different front ends.
suppressed, heavy barrel ect ect ect.

so hopefully with that in mind they make a longer barreled version for us up North.

Fugly.

I always thought the PCC was a decent looking carbine. If only it had been offered in .45ACP.

im buying one, i dont care if they are restricted or not.
non-r would be better but i dont care at this point.
ive always wanted the original and now this has come out.... im in!

Aftermarket could have a field day with this gun, if it goes the way of the 10/22.

The USA price is good, but I bet it would be much, much more here.

msrp of a mini14 is $999, selling for roughly $1200 here. A 20% increase(makes sense with the dollar)
This pcc has a msrp of $650 + 20%, would be $780.

I expect prices around $800 for the restricted version at least. Not too bad.

I'd take a take down ruger over a folding keltec any day.

Exactly this. I think this could be the perfect truck gun. I've had a couple Sub 2000 rifles and enjoyed them but have to admit the concept is far more appealing than the execution with that particular gun. This Ruger on the other hand, has really got my attention. I've owned a couple Mini 14 rifles over the years and have lost count how many 10/22s I've had, so if this is basically a big brother to the 10/22 takedown with legal 10 round mags AND if we can get a NR barrel for the Canadian market I will be all over it.

That math is good, but I see the 10/22 takedown going for $500-600 probably due just to popular demand, so could these go for a couple hundred more? I hope so.

I hope these come in non-restricted. The originals had a reputation of being durable. The kel-tecs are cool enough, but don’t feel exactly durable and have a tiny polymer pin to hold the guts in the stock.

I wonder how long it will take to hit the Canadian market?

Cx4 storm is a better solution. It breaks down into two pieces with one pin, is full ambi including changing the side it ejects from, takes pistol mags and is available in non restricted. Plus since it uses a pistol layout it’s shorter. The only negative for some is it’s space age look.

In the Gunblast video, in the slow motion part, it looks like the mag is wobbling back and forth .... maybe it does that in all the Glock fed pistol caliber carbines?

The mag release isn’t exactly ergonomic either, but I’m still interested.

The cx4 storm runs about $1,200 .... a bit pricey to me.

Using Glock mags is a strong selling point for the Ruger over the Beretta , don't get me wrong , I had a storm and I liked it , but the ruger looks like it's going to be available with more mag and caliber options and easy for the owner to swap out as wanted .

And crappy trigger.
