M14 Magazine floor plate welding

Hello all i have 2 magazines with welded floor plates and a long tab on the follower, I wanted to ask anyone weld their own magazines?
Its an after thought to match my magazines, and im wondering if anyone has painted the mags, i wanted to color code them, so they are different from my AR-10 B mags, besides the tabs cut on the sides lol

I've got 2 that I picked up from Crappy Tire like that. I cut the welds and then spraypainted them, they don't look out of place.

What paint did you use? im tryign to get them to look similar, if i can file the welds down, or use my dremel id do that on all of the mags, to match up and just use some sealant or something LOL.

I used basic BBQ paint, after dremeling the plate free.

And this was a couple years ago, I don't remember seeing them the last time I was there.

Any pictures of them? and i havent seen them in the last 5 years in any CT lol, i have 4 thats ready to go, the 2 that are tacked, and 2 riveted, one thats cut and tabbed, looks bad LOL, im tryign to sell the riveted and the tabbed one, to finance 3 more LOL, the three have never been used at all
