You Don't Own A Type 81 - You Can't Speak For Us

That's why people find it super fun to troll T81 owners. You guys get right pissed off when someone kills your buzz. Hence the title of this thread. Perhaps there are people jealous of you having 1 out of 1000 of something. 90% of people really don't care and they choose to entertain themselves knocking you guys down a peg or two. Just being real.

... and some guys like DILLIGAF are way too real about the whole thing it's halarous. And he is right... it's just another bullet hose. No more special than the next one.

like a moth to the light, lol

Buying bent rifles that you waited years to get is nothing to brag about.. I haven't seen any hard use range reports either. Oh and as far as groups go, if the rifle can shoot head sized groups to 300 yards then it's effective for what it was designed for.

It was designed to hit a man center mass at 300 yards which at 3-4 moa it will do, plus how many groups have been shot using good ammo vs old surplus. The 7.62x39 certainly isn't a tack driver and was never intended to be one, it is designed for engagements out to 300 yards and considering most of the shooting is 200 yards or less it is just fine. If mine was bent it would have been returned, I bought it just because I am not confident that there will be another shipment and I wanted to check it out for myself. When you look at the price of a dewat ak47 these are the better deal as they actually shoot but I haven't seen any posts of people bashing the guys who bought ak's to display. How hard is it to be happy that there are guys who like their guns and enjoy the shooting sports, I don't like glocks or savages but I don't troll their threads because firearms are a personal choice and I am just happy to have more shooters.

I put over 500 rounds through my type 81. No issues. 300 rounds one day and 200 the next. At 75 meters the "group" was about 3 inches but I wasn't really going for group size.
We did manage to shoot clays off the berm at 100 meters and we were getting first round hits about 75% of the time. If it stops snowing this week I will bring out an SKS and run it side by side against my type 81. I will video the event so people here can masterbate to their favorite rifle.

I love my Type-81's; they delivered exactly what I expected/wanted, and surpassed in the reliability department thus far, especially in cold weather conditions in which I was dropping mags in the snow like a boss.

The price is fair, considering this is a small batch order to a small market.

I always enjoy intelligent spirited debate, but it's always amusing reading the ignorance from the trolls; if it's not a $215 SKS with free one day shipping, free ammo, free accessories, and free hugs and kisses from the vendor, it's not worth having.

It's a Minute Of Man rifle.... A hit anywhere on a chest size target at 300 yards it called perfection with these rifles.

For example the Russians used to train their soldiers to use the belt line/waste for fast iron sight target accusition, the point of impact would be 9-10 inches above the waste anywhere on the chest.

These are M.O.M rifles!

Now here come the trolls who know better then me.

You can pick any thread on this site, about any firearm. They will all feature the same themes for the most part.

There will be the "fanboys", complimented in turn by the "haters". And all the shades in between.

There will be exhortations that firearm "A" is superior to firearm "B", and rebuttals back.

There will be a lot of opinion and after winnowing through the posts, some nuggets of wisdom to be found. But mostly just trolling or mouthbreathers behind keyboards.

Non of it stops us from coming back for more though does it ;)

It's the CGN Cycle of Life LOL! Fanboi's vs wannabe's is always entertaining, whatever the subject, but the T81 brings 'em out in droves :p

....but hey, on a more serious note and to keep on topic, here's an SKS about to have butt ### with a T-81 folder (are folder's the trans gender sect of the rifle world?...deep thought for the day) - one can only wonder at the bastard love child such a union will produce! Maybe a nice DMR M10X!

If people think 1K is a lot of money they need to find another hobby...lol..

Everyone who bought a T81 knew they were overpaying from the start. But then again some of us also got a NEA 102. These 2 rifles have to be the most ridiculus buys of 2017. T81 is a 500$ rifle at best and NEA well its NEA what else is there to say....lol.

But thats the price to pay in Canada to have fun in the NR game.

Finally an honest review of both rifles.

I find it funny how everybody has thrown the Type 81 was designed to be more accurate than the AK theory out the window.... Before they landed in the country, that seemed to be the consensus. I even remember reading a document that described groups of 1.75" I believe at 100m or something close to that.

You sure it wasn't 0.75"? Laugh2 Laugh2

FFS... It's basically an AKM with an arguably better gas system. Why would anyone expect it to perform better than an AKM variant???

It is what it is, and I like it just fine for what it is.

Oh yeah, I was told many times that it was going to be much improved design, potential for far more accuracy, second coming of Jesus Christ etc lol There was one guy in particular.....
I was of the opinion that it was more or less going to be an SKS with a pistol grip and detachable mags.....

I still think it's a cool rifle and not bad for $1K despite the TI fumbling with mags, delivery etc. Nice to see any reliable modern-ish gun in Canadians hands at the $1K mark either way though. Not my thing anymore personally these days but I'm glad they came in despite them being obviously much cheaper production standards than all expected and likely (as most have already noticed/stated as well) a very high markup. But again, anyone who thought otherwise was either drinking too much kool-aid or just delusional and that is on them, not the rifle or TI or even Norinco.

Like Dilligaf said; these are the games we have to play in Canada as firearms owners in our sad little market.

Well the speculation before caliber mag started testing the FRT sample was that an improvement in accuracy was one of the major design requirements the chinese made. And people in the TI forum were linking in technical documents describing very impressive accuracy for a x39 gun.

Lol, mine shoots a consistent 8 moa, It must be me though :p

Mine did 6moa in awful shooting conditions with cheap ammo. I can definitely do better when its not minus 25 and windy.

Frankly, I think caliber had a bad rifle. They got around 5moa from a led sled using hornady sst's. I'm confident mine will do better, I did nearly as well barely trying with cheap ammo.
