M10x...

An auction on gunborker finished early with a buy now for 1100 yesterday... So who bought it? Lots of low feedback users involved in that auction so guessing a lot of canadians jumped in :p

1100 + 40 to ship to IRG = ~1450 CDN + 5% taxes (72.50) + 25 to ship to Canada + 250 to import + 40 to ship to the door = under 1850 CDN and that's a restricted rifle...

dmr will be released in usa, I will wait to buy one and have it imported

I thought DMR created for CanMarket is non-restricted, right?
But DMR privately imported from US is restricted?
first question no, M+M had production for the long barrel DMR version on the books long before Canada market was in the picture

Second question, NO, the DMR version is not available in either country yet that I have seen

M+M has not yet produced a rifle with an 18.5” Barrel for retail sales. The DMR rifle is supposed to be in production and in our hands by March best case I’d say probably later.
Any models sold or for sale in the states can be purchased and imported into Canada but will have a barrel less than 18.5” and won’t have all the special DMR components.

A+ answer=thanks!

no, according to M+M themselves, the long barrel version (over 18.5") was always going to be produced for the USA market at a later date

That info was spun into something else much later by a whole lot of people when talks of the Canadian market came up with a billet DMR safety etc.

N0.... no what??
What ever they planned , said, or advertised. They have not produced a rifle for sale in the states with a 18.5” Barrel. And I can only assume they are manufacturing rifles as we speak to deliver NS order by February sometime and Those rifles that will be coming will be the only rifles so far to be set up with all the as advertised High speed low drag DMR up grades. Which I myself am waiting for....my inner operator can’t resist All the DMR.

Did you miss the part where he said at a later date?

Lol, DMR safety and...
I would be hoping they make the exact same rifle they're making now but with an 18.6" barrel. Once they start throwing around the term DMR the next thing you know it will have a heavier contour barrel and the weight and balance of the rifle will go down the poo poo hole and it will still only shoot 4-5 moa at best.
It's a marketing gimmick and nothing more.

Yeah. That DMR gas block is sure to shrink groups. Very operator.

I think he knows it's a marketing gimmick, a very poor gimmick with all the DMR #### on it now thanks to NS butni agree, better leave the barrel contour alone and just add a few inches

It is now officially a race to see which arrives first in 2018 - the M10X, or the FightLite MCR Dual-Feed AR Upper Receiver that I ordered back in May of 2017. Frankly I don't much care which arrives first, so long as one or the other gets here by the end of March (latest). Watch and Shoot....

Who has the best deal on AK mags in Canada?

IRUNGUNS did have a good deal not that long ago, think they sold out twice, price was around $25.00 US/mag

if you want a short AK mag. get the mags that are for the m305 in 7.62x39,they are about $30.00 CAD./mag--Dominion Outdoors

There are no inexpensive retail sources for the Orange Bakelite 7.62x39mm mags in the US right now, with most retailers out of stock. The going rate is $50 USD before State-side pinning and 3rd party importation and brokerage fees, meaning close to $100 CAD per mag if ordered in multiples (more for a single item). Generic steel mags are still cheap and plentiful, it seems. FYI

Here's one of the more attractive set-ups that I have seen with the Zhukov furniture....although the magnified optics may be overkill. I will probably go with a mid-range Holosun offering - perhaps their "Eotech Killer" HS510C....
