Hi everyone. I am looking at getting a Sightron S11 6X24 X 42 mill dot. Completely unfamiliar with Sightron Scopes other than what I read on Gunnutz. Looking for help re how does it compare to Vortex of equal value. Pro's and con's of both scopes. This scope will be mounted on a 22WMR and zero in at 100 yards, do a lot of enjoyable shooting at range with this rifle.
Thanks for your input

sightron scopes are pretty good! i would stay away from vortex. I would rather go a good bushnell over the vortex. What kind of budget are you looking at? You might be able to find a good zeiss HD5 or a Steiner kicking around on this site.

Assuming you are sub $1,500 for the unit, Sightron are great scopes at that level and throughout their entire range. (Brand new).

At $2-3K there are a number of other manufactures who have reticle / other features that may be more preferable. I have both brands and they are both reasonable good. Best to list the attributes you want and see what is out there. If you do go the Sightron route you will have purchased a quality scope, so in my mind you cannot go wrong.

Candocad.

I really like my Stac 4-20x50. It's glass is quite decent for the money, I find mine comparable to my Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5-16x50.
Sightrons can be bought from Hirsch & Mystic Precision.

If it was me I would forget about the sightron II and get the Stac 4-20X50 instead, unless the sightron II is dirt cheap.
