The new Tikka T1X Rimfire

Put me down for a stainless 22. And folks on Sniper's Hide are already egging KRG to produce a Bravo stock for it for Rimfire PRS.

On our end, I'd say it would be nice if MDT does a stock :)

KRG seems to be rather pro-active / responsive to consumer demand. Hopefully they will do exactly that!

The above picture shows the magazine protruding from the stock...

Even if the mag protudes, it is not where I would place my support hand. Unlike the CZs or Savages where their mags are exactly where my support hand needs to be.

The US forums are going nuts over this T1X specially about the price. Still haven't read range reports though. If this 22LR is accurate, I am not optimistic about Canadian chances any time soon.

I will hold out for a 16 inch stainless on laminated wood or synthetic. My 452s will tide me over till then.

Does anyone besides Ruger have a flush 10 round magazine? I expect Ruger has a patent on the rotary design or else there'd be more out there.

As someone mentioned, the Browning T-bolt but the new 2018 Savages have new stocks and also flush mount mags. Tikka might have an up hill battle if their prices are between a CZ and Anschutz' hunter and no where near that of a Savage.

Isn't a price that is between CZ and Anschutz 1416 always "no where near that of a Savage"?

Ya I missed that the Savage A and B series have a flush 10 round rotary.

No, certain models of Savage, such as the BSEV for example, are priced higher than a number of CZ models. There is some overlap of the pricing between the brands, but the most expensive CZ exceeds the cost of the most expensive Savage, and Savage offers the least expensive firearms on the low end.

I will be the sacrificial lamb.......let me get the first one that lands on our side of the border and I'll let you know all you need to know........

the mag kinda bugs me, but I am more curious about the stock, is it the same NASA approved plastic of the T3 line??? same polymer mag?? drilled and tapped?? T3 adjustable trigger?

Puzzled by all the mag comments. I highly doubt it's a sharp-feeling, Savage 10-rounder-ish experience sling carrying this thing. It it an aesthetic consideration?

They need to market this in 22 WMR as well. That would interest me! D.

Maybe Tikka could unlock the mystery behind that caliber's inability to shoot sub MOA. Maybe Tikka has to make the ammo too. :) Seriously though...if that Tikka in 22WMR and even one ammo type run through it could pull-off 3/4" @ 100 yards consistently, I'd have to adjust my 2018 gun purchasing plans a little to include one of these. If they made one, and it was a typical 1-1/2" @ 100 yards 22WMR...it wouldn't be any temptation for me personally.

2018 is going to be an interesting year with at least a couple of new 22s coming out. So far, the Ruger Precision has me a little more interested than the Tikka...but we'll see. The CZ457s are intriguing too...I wonder if they'll be @ SHOT.

Just read it’s not a cip or cup whatever it is called round so won’t happen.

Friend of mine saw one at a gun show yesterday. I asked him to get a price, and check it out. Have not heard back.

Not sure how it’s not even out yet. Ordered are showing up in April in the USA for 22lr and June for hmr
