Bucket list for 2018

2017 was very kind to me with the exception that I wasnt able to get out hunting as often as I had hoped. If 2018 can bring me the same kind of luck that 2017 did....with the addition of more time in the field....I’d be happy

My first daughter is due in February although my wife looks like...I don't want a public record of my words...but she looks ready now
I promised her I wouldn't take a hunting vacation next year so ill be hunting locally only.
I'm planning on acquiring a bunch of youth rifles for the kid and a couple for myself
To get back into shape is a major priority. I'm still not completely over tearing my Achilles tendon off my bone. Bear hunting over hounds in Maine is something I'd like to do. Maybe 2019 will be the year

A friend and co worker of mine lived on the Sunshine Coast for years and had a couple black bears that came round regularly, one time her dog and a bear got into a scrap and to break it up she punched the bear in the face. It forgot about the dog and ran off lol.

See that's the spirit. I mean who starts out squatting 200 kilos! This guy has the right idea for a sparring partner leading up to a bear. The roo is upright, has strong shoulders and can deliver vicious leg kicks.

I want/ planning going on a guided elk hunt in Canada this year. Should be a new and exciting experience if all things allow. See how this year works out but if it was as good for hunting as last year it will be fine.

Find out my GPS that I lost on Moose hunting. It has the coordinates of the biggest moose in Ontario.

Then apply that WMU for moose tag, I'm looking for a job to buy a pick up, so when I get the tag,
I will have to drive there, to find my GPS...... Kch'ing !!!

Or play lotto or 649' let me decide !!!

Get a new hip.

Trebor, dont know your story, but let me tell you from my experience, I waited more than four years for a new hip (too young & too fat) and spent the last year or so hobbling around on a cane, not able to sleep, not having a single moment that wasnt burdened by the constant pain. When the surgeon finally said yes, it was like a weight was lifted. Ten days later, the morning after surgery and I woke up after sleeping the night through finally - with nothing more than an aching IT band, oh my god. Life changing.

As for me: New job (start in early March). Lose a lot more weight (ive lost a crap ton, but have a crap ton to lose, and tomorrow, a very big step is happening to help me with this, literally LOL). Be a better husband, be a better father, be a better son, be a better brother. Cheer my daughter on. Volunteer more. Fish more. Shoot more (im pretty new to this still), learn to reload, and take a long overdue trip with my wife.

Nail the big 12 point WT buck that has been outsmarting me for the past three years.

Take a nice representative mountain goat.

Become a grandpa.

Finalize my retriement date.

Get my retirement property ready for building.

P.S - some folks on this thread have some very difficult situations to deal with... there are better times ahead, keep plugging away and let the good things come as they will.

YES!!!!! YES!!!! Ever since he's been the champ!

Lol..... after the horseback hunt he can help Jack off the horse..... then he can watch Misses champ plant her tulips around old man Mcguinty’s stump.......

Ah my youth.....

“Faked him out with an English muffin, he gobbled it up like prince Andrew”

Head fake with your back-pack; flurry to the solar plexus and an upper-cut and a "Is that ursus horrilibus enough for you punk?" when he goes down for the count.

Or however it plays out. ;)

Been looking for an experienced corner and cut guy if your interested?

Mine is to go to Haida Gwaii in September ,take the kids camping, fishing, beach combing and hunting for Sitka deer

If you go to Haida Gwaii next September. You can hit me up for some info. I’m up there every summer running a guide boat out of Queen Charlotte City. I’ve shot a few of those deer. Very tasty. Westwavefishing.

Rumours of any similarities are greatly assumed. Though I did have a bum in Puerto Vallarta yesterday try to explain how he was sure I gave him a bottle of wine last January.
