Can a Kimber 84M bolt face be modified for larger cartridge?

I have a Kimber Montana in 223 and I would like to know if its possible to modify the bolt to accept a larger diameter cartridge that still uses a small primer, either 6 BR or 6 Dasher. Thanks

Why wouldn't you email Kimber and get it directly from the horse ?

From Kimbers website... The Model 84M action was designed with minimal dimensions to accept the .308 Win. family of cartridges.

Actually I’ve had two Montana 84M, one a 243win and this one a 223 Rem. I don’t have the 243 anymore, but the two bolts were the same other than bolt face and I believe the firing pin size. I know the action would be fine for the 6mm BR or the Dasher, but I’m wondering if any gunsmiths have opened up the bolt faces on the smaller diameter rounds to fit larger diameter rounds that still use small primers, or if I’d have to get one that already has the larger diameter bolt face recess to do a build. I’ve had bolt face diameters opened up on Mauser actions in the past, just wondering if the same can be done with this one.
I really like the 84M action and the Montana stock and trigger so would like to do a barrel swap with what I have if possible.

A small or large firing pin tip diameter can be used with either size of primer or any bolt face size. The firing pin does not care what size the primer is, nor the case size ...

Ok thanks I didn't know that. I've read about guys bushing there firing pin holes when they rebarreled from a large primer to a small primer round. I always assumed it was because they went to a smaller diameter firing pin.

I believe the guys who need a reduced firing pin are the guys shooting a 6mm BR with extremely hot loads. They bush the firing pin hole and reduce the tip diameter to fit very closely... reducing primer leakage.
