That is me again! For those who liked my thread about my PTRS-41 project and don't believe those who tried to fool everyone by their BS that B-32 and BS41 are unavailable or that you need some extra paperwork for Lahti and Solothurn or PTRS-41 which are non-restricted firearms in Canada which is shown here: https://www.fieldandstream.com/tired-your-50-bmg
and confirmed by several authorities among them:3 CFP agents,5 licenced firearm dealers(their owners)and 2 representatives of ministry of natural resources and forestry, which both told me that the rules for hunting any available animals with PTRS-41 and BS41 in them are exactly the same like for hunting the same animals in same consequences with for example Mosin or sks.

And again my album dedicated to this project is here:
https://ibb.co/album/hFRhqa
Among those photos there are photos of my own PTRS-41 bolt parts which I already posess right now. Also there are some photos of the parts which I want to replace and how I want my future PTRS-41 to look like.

By the way I am going to replace the buttstock and firing handle,a bipod,a muzzle break and mount my high powered long range scope on it to be able to shoot at really sufficient distances more than 2 kilometres with it,because I know that the gun itself provides enough ballistic characteristics and accuracy to hit something even at double that distance!

So,any suggestions appreciated!

Is this a joke? 2KM? Yes I own a PTRS as do several of my friends. It has the range but certainly not the accuracy unless your target is the size of an apartment building. Your bolt looks like a relic dug up from a battlefield

Oleg you claim to have fought in Debaltseva... for what side and what unit... wow your buddies must be super tough jolly green giants hip firing a KPVT (50kg heavy MG) lol. If nobody gets what I'm referring to read this guy's other thread on the PTRS it's hilarious

Yes, it is a joke. Just take a look at his thread in the same section bellow that got locked (as will this one). Which is too bad, as I had a lot of fun reading his posts.
I am the one that he is referring to that "tried to fool everyone" by saying that API/APIT/HE/HEI ammo is prohibited. LOL. But he's got "3 CFP agents, 5 licenced firearms dealers and 2 MNR officers" telling him otherwise. This is significantly better than yesterday - when it was only "2 CFC officers and 3 LEGAL firearms dealers". At least he is staying on top of his research.
I'd pay to see the look on the face of a fish and game officer when asked if it's OK to hunt with PTRS-41 using HEI rounds!

His other hobbies include building home-made miniguns with tools from Canadian Tire and firing 7.92×57 bullets at 6000 FPS using PETN as propellant. :)

On a more serious note, why would it matter what side he fought for in Debaltseve?

Because if he claims to be a Russian who fought there for Russia (one of the worst battles of the war) he participated in the illegal invasion of Ukraine (remember Putin claims his army isn't even there)! What's he doing in Canada after fighting against a non NATO allie? I have a lot of Ukrainian friends who fought in this war and I have been to the front several times bringing aid and yes I can prove it. If he claims to have been on the Ukrainian side I suspect he's full of #### and I'm not a fan of stolen Valour

Everybody's perspective on every war is different. We both live in a country that actively participates in illegal invasions of other countries on a regular basis. (far more often, in fact than Russia does). We just tend to do it on other continents where it's far enough for most Canadians to not give a crap. What do you think US/Canada would do if Mexico decided to form a military alliance with China or Russia? So let's not judge others for something neither of us has business judging.

Either way, this is not a discussion for "gunsmithing" section, so let's go back on topic. Im cant wait to see more posts from Oleg!

Not trying to start anything with you but this war is very personal. I don't care if it's ok for this section or not. I can judge him for participating in the killing of my brothers just as he can judge me for choosing my side and helping them. This guy has made a pretty bold claim... I'd like to see him back it up .. but I suspect he's full of #### either way judging by everything he's posted lol

With all due respect, sitting comfortably in your computer chair and picking sides in a conflict that is happening on the other side of the planet is just poor form. More so when your decisions are based on accounts of some personal pro-Ukranian friends with clearly biased opinions and media BS that is being fed to us.
Canada has probably 100's of thousands of people living here that were either directly involved, or had friends/relatives killed by Canadian soldiers in their home country at some point in history. Are you suggesting that they should take it personally, and take a side against Canadian citizens that supported those conflicts? Just imagine for a second if they did..

Uh are you a Russian troll or you can't read? I was at the zero line 4 times. 300m from the Russian enemy. I flew 7000KM to deliver aid directly to a SF recon group (and orphaned children and the poor still living in villiages on the contact line .PM me if you want to see pictures and read my stories on FB. I use my real name and show my face. So picking sides from behind a computer I was not. I went to the war and made my decision based on what I saw with my own eyes. Is that clear enough? I wasn't alone there are other members here that took me. This war is still going on. Like I said I'm interested to know if he claims he was a Russian invader or a Ukrainian soldier because I think he was neither

Alright, so lets call everyone who doesn't share YOUR heavily biased opinion a troll. Funny that you should mentioned reading skills. Yours seem to be in need of some improvements as well. So go ahead, have a drink, vent some fumes and re-read my posts in this thread a few times. Maybe you'll actually understand the point I was making. Or not. I really don't care.

LOL - PM me I'll add you as a Facebook friend. I'll educate you if you want to know what it's like over there based on my own personal experiences. Or believe what you still believe. You corrected my initial misspelling of Debaltseva pretty quickly so I'm guessing you speak Russian or perhaps Ukrainian ? Then you should have no problem reading any of the non English content..

Pretty hard to take a guy seriously when he claims Canada has "Invaded" more countries than Russia has lol

A joke? I wonder...
A poster who shared their success hitting beer cap at 1700m with a dug up Mosin. Not just any Mosin, but one with a bolt head made from rebar, and using an explosive for a propellant. I'm leaning toward attempted humour myself.

I wish OP the greatest of success in the Ptrs-41 project, and look very forward to reading more about it. As a kid I had to wait until Saturday mornings to watch cartoons, but now I can get the same entertainment everyday.
