On Sale for a couple of weeks for $49.95 21" Gun case with pluckable foam.

I got 5 into this. If I had planned a bit better, could have got 6. There are two sheets of 2" think solid foam and one sheet of pluckable. I have removed one of the 2" solids, so the lid is easy to close.

If it is anything like the pick n' pluck foam from pelican then it WILL fall apart in relative short time.

Handy tip is to spray it down with plasti-dip or something like that to hold the rest of the squares together. Help it last longer. If not then I would recommend getting a solid piece and custom cut.

Agreed. I can see the pluckbale has no strength. I was thinking of dabs of glue or something to hold the key corners together.

I wonder if you can get replacement foam from PA? I agree about the weakness of the pluckable foam. Mine is about 2 years old and the foam dividing the guns is falling apart.

I seen those cases there on sale last week, they look pretty solid. Are they heavy when loaded up with five or six pistols.

Mine lasted about a year, I did buy spray adhesive to try but never got around to it, I have some spare Canadian tire pluck foam at home I could see if it fits, they were replaced by nanuk cases last month, only thing is they don't fit my 6" revolver so I'll still utilize one of them, and I'll try the plastidip Joka mentioned.

Not sure if this may be of some help, but Lee Valley Tools also sells foam, for their German-made tool boxes. Several different types, including some which can be custom cut, insert/pluckable foam, base foam, pyramided lid foam, etc. Size may not be perfect, but it would be possible to buy two pieces of the type you want (dirt cheap at about $6 per piece) and do a bit of a custom fit to the box. You can search the Lee Valley site for T-Loc Systainer Foam Inserts for those

Lee also used to have layered foam sheets, which I bought a few of to modify a break-action shotgun case I had, to carry and pack my BLR takedown for air transport. It seems they don't have those foam sheets anymore but keep your eye out Lee items often disappear and then return mysteriously a few months later. Here's what I'm referring to:
