Hi my name is Liberty357, and I am a glockaholic.

I'm currently seeking to obtain Canadian govt approved G26, G30sf and G19. I researched it quite abit. Currently, I can't seem to find a place to purchase OEM barrels for these. I just want a cheap plain black barrel, preferably threaded like the original.

Can you use a glock 19 barrel for a 26?
Can you use a glock 21 barrel for a 30sf?

Just thought I'd ask as I can't find any source in Canada. I know people will say Questar. I haven't emailed them on barrels yet, although there prices on glock guns are quite high. Seems alot cheaper to buy off of IRG and find barrels. Thoughts??

Aswell, feel free to post about your gourgeous glocks.. We all know inner beauty is what counts and glocks have that in droves. Also, feel free to express your love for glocks outer beauty, some people just cannot see(or are too ashamed to express it). Since we're all in the circle of trust here, I will open up and say I do like glock ####.

I love all glocks, I personally only have a 17(prefer a 19) and am in desperate need of expanding my harem. Need those above, aswell as a 43 and 36 would be great.

Acceptance is the first step in getting help. Remember noone is here to judge you.

I'm a Glock guy now, I wasn't when I got into pistols,, but the love has grown, due in a large part to that beautiful Gen2 19 that
Still alive posted above,,, first Glock I ever shot. That is when I realized that the 19 was made for my hand, lol, and the love affair began. I have to admit that my mindset has changed, what I once thought was plain and ugly has become something I admire for its simplicity and function,,,and now I find myself thinking to myself,, damn, I actually love the look of the 19!
To quote Jim Leahy( although he was talking about the liquor),,, it like a comfortable pair of slippers :)
I love my Gen3 19, and the wife just added a Gen4 17 in Sniper Grey to the stable,,haven't had much trigger time on it yet but if it's anything like the 19 I think I'm going to like it!

I love Glocks too! Welcome to the most beautiful ugly gun club around!
PS I don’t think the barrels are interchangeable at all.

This is my never sell Gen2 G19. Love all the wear on it! Good times!

Aahhhellleaaah..gotta love them glocks. Lots of character on yours. I want to get a new one, just so 10 years from now it will look like that, all the scratches will be memories.

I get so tired of babying all my other pistols. When I get to the range I make deliberate motions grabbing my glock taken off the lock and tossing it on the table. I love to abuse it, feels good, it's like the rough ### of pistols. I let mags hit the ground, drop the gun on the table, not caring if it's getting scratched and knocked around.

Glocks truly are the "do all" duty handgun.
It does everything I want a plastic pistol to do. If it was just all about self defence and ccw like the anti's believe, it would be the only gun I'd have. Just a straight up gun, no apologies, plastic ain't pretty I don't care what polymer gun it is, glock is the prettiest imo. Other than polymer tho, that's a different story.

Lol, could write a book of all Lahey quotes, he made that show.. "Let's not forget who started this sh*tstorm,, Limpy!!"

You can use a g19 barrel in a g26. I think the slide fits too.

Yes, I thought so, thanks!

Does anyone know about compatibility of barrels for glock 30sf? Where to get the Canadian legal barrel? That one seems the hardest to find.

I might just buy the Canadian G19 coming out then use that barrel for the G26 aswell.

Who owns baby glocks? Thoughts?? They aren't very available up here compared to the others, there's some 26's, never even seen a 30sf before.

I own a real g26 with the original barrel as my conceal carry gun in USA.

I wouldn't buy one for range only use. Only reason I got one was due to double stack 9mm subcompact for 350$.

Ive used it for uspsa and well, it's far too small for range only use.

I'm not involved in competition, otherwise I'd get a 34 and cz75 shadow, maybe someday. I just enjoy plinking and practicing with guns that are practical.

Aswell, I do plan on travelling to the states more to enjoy a taste of freedom. Don't have any holsters yet. Probably carry a 19, 26, 30sf, commander 1911 main gun then a secondary and possibly third gun. Sux we can't get the 380's aswell, p3ats and lcp's ect. Wish we had the option, itd be great to be able to carry different guns everyday. Most days I'd be in glock mood, others .45 1911, then if open carry .357 revolver days. That'd be great, packing for the mood or vibe of the day.

Today's just a bland glock 19 day. Maybe I'll spice it up with my .357 S&W 4" Model 19. Yeehaw.

Does anyone own a G30 on here?? Specifically the G30sf? Really cool lookin .45, yet not a whole lot of info on it in Canada. Wanna know where to get a barrel aswell as what barrels work with it.

I can't stop watching vids and reading up on glocks and guns in general.. It's so silly too cause most the stuff I watch/read is people just repeating the exact same stuff over and over again in different reviews ect.. Guns i have, or want.. Can't imagine the countless hours I've spent of watching Hickok45 plink steel at his farm. Still can't get enough, just enjoy seeing guns being fondled and shot in my spare time, when im not doing so myself lol. Guess I'm keeping my mind off the real money pit of travelling, ahh well.

Just rambling on.. Thought there'd be more glock addicts on here or in Canada. Maybe not so much without ccw. I can't be too far down the rabbit hole, I'm not rushing out to get the new gen 5's!! Latest and greatest no finger grooves like 30 years ago! Guess it's better then the direction everything else in the firearms industry and world is going. I'll take retro future over ### feminist future anyday! Too bad Colt and S&W won't take the cue.:stirthepot2::stirthepot2::stirthepot2::stirthepot2:
 muuuaahaha!!!

For a first Glock, I would NOT recommend a G30SF or G29!
Are you an experienced handgun shooter? I’ve shot the G26 and I’m sure bsands can agree. The recoil is significantly more than a G19 or G17 even though it’s only a 9mm. The .45 or 10mm versions would be a handful and definitely not help in your marksmanship skills if you’re new to handguns.

Yes, already shot all the aforementioned guns except the 30sf/29, which I know I'll love to death even tho I've never shot it before (I can tell it's perfect lol). Joking aside I'm a 9 and 45 kind of guy so no issue there. I'd much rather have a 45 than a 40 if recoils the concern I hate snappyness.

I'm not competition, just enjoy plinking and drills. Don't even know which competitive venue I'd fit into most, I'd like it to be most real life American style ccw. Thought about 3 gun.

Ok, so you know what you’re getting into then. My experience is people who buy the hard kicking guns in small frames don’t shoot them very much so trying to save you some money!
Sounds like you’ll want to shoot IDPA in Canada if you get the sub-compact. You won’t use it for 3G. 3G is all about speed and the G26 is too small to grab quickly effectively. If you want to shoot 3G, the G19 is the minimum I would recommend. I use my 19 for IDPA and my 22 with a 9mm barrel for TAC rifle and 3G.

Hope you find the G30. Sounds fun!

On a similar note was thinking about. I actually prefer the commander to government size in 1911 aswell, not just for size. I also find the recoil alot better. Might just be the specific models I've shot, only shot one commander it's excellent, but shot lots of different governments(pricier too), same loads. I'll only ever buy commanders, except collectors.

Noticed post^^, your really into comp haha. I'm not an expert marksman by any means with any of my guns yet. Just recreational aswell as collector. As I mentioned I've thought about it. Haven't looked into what goes on in my area, I'm not near large cities. Love practicin tho, I'm sure it'd be fun once started. Another money pit tho lol, once I developed a taste I'll be hooked to something else.

Surprised you use a 19 and 22. Wouldn't a 34 be better suited? Or is there rules for guns? That'd be what'd I'd get if I was thinking competition. A 34 all spiffed out, cut slide, trigger job, reworked frame, red dot, ect. Or a CZ shadow, those things shoot right on the money, no recoil and fast followup. In fact, a CZ is on my long list so I don't wanna think but it heh.

I’m like you OP. I like smaller versions of full sized guns. I have zero, I repeat, zero interest in tricked out guns or guns made solely for competition use. Only thing I ever change is the sights on my pistols. All run stock triggers. I don’t use competition holsters either.

Shooting is a money pit. You got to know where and what you want to spend money on. It’s taken me many years to narrow down my focus. There were a lot of ADHD moments along the way with purchases I regretted or had no use for.

I have a lot of friends who shoot the CZ. I’m very familiar with the gun but I’m not a fan of a metal DA/SA gun. I’m not knocking the 75. It’s a great gun, just not for me.

Better how? All other things being equal, the 5" should feel softer and smoother. Not that 45ACP is harsh to start with!

A properly set up 5" 1911 is a dream to shoot, IMO.

...I can't find any source in Canada. I know people will say Questar...

Sporteque is another source for aftermarket Austrian-made (IGB) barrels for Glock pistols.
