You Don't Own A Type 81 - You Can't Speak For Us

I don't fully appreciate the value of those posed photos of cartridge/knife/car keys/watch gear prop photos personally. I get the artistic side of of it but overall it's really poser ghey.

Really? You didn't get into the tacticool thread 2017 Christmas I take it....

I don't think so.... No backtracking. He spicifically referred to the AK-UF I posted. Fact

"More feature rich" lol

Please, do quote that post, should be interesting. Except you can't. I never ever refered to an ak-uf rifle on this forum or it's features. Not ever.

I'm sure your yugo ####s gold bricks and fires bullets into outer space. Great for you.

Truth be told... This is the first I have heard the term 922r in years. Literally nobody follows it. Its the equivalent of taking a tag off a matress or jay-walking. Just sayin.

Ummm, no, all imports are 922r compliant, all importers comply and those who don't risk landing in a federal prison...

Copy Paste:

Depending on whether you are building or modifying an AK or Saiga, you’ll likely be looking at replacing three to six parts (to U.S. manufactured parts) to reach compliance. If you are modifying a firearm that has already been made compliant, be careful. Changing a single part could land you in hot water with the feds.

A quick search of the firearms forums and gunsmiths used to working with these types of firearms have identified the following as the parts most often selected to reach 922R compliance:

Trigger
Hammer
Disconnector
Buttstock
Pistol grip
Handguard (upper and lower handguards on an AK only count as one compliance part)
Gas piston
Magazine parts—This is the most important item of the list. The body, follower and floorplate each count as one compliance part, but it comes with great risk. Swap a magazine or get caught with the wrong magazine, and you could find yourself holding a ticket for a one-way trip to the federal pokey.
The important thing to remember is the magic number based on the platform. That you need to research to ensure you are working off the latest data. Then, you’ll need to continue to monitor the laws regarding your platform to ensure you remain in compliance. As a personal recommendation, try not to push the limits. Use an extra part or two of U.S. manufacture. It is good for our economy and your relationship with federal agents.

^^^ This! Also, random Americans commenting on Canadian Firearms Websites are basically looking for a wraparound. If you have no skin in the game, you should probably hang back. But you are American so that might not happen. In my view, unless you are directly impacted (ie can't buy or sell re: the rifle in question) you can't debate it's merits other than wish you had one. My birthday is coming up. I'm going to order a T81 :)

Don't bother. It's like convincing a liberal that illegal aliens should not get to vote.

He's never seen a t81 in person, but all AKs are better... just because. Never mind those who have played with both and don't agree with the ak holy gospel.

Let me get this straight. You are picking the best things from different ak models that don't all exist on the same rifle together to argue ak's have more to offer than a t81?

No sir, you are wrong again. Every single feature I listed is on that AK I posted.

And then you said this... You really should stop the deceiving little narrative you have going.

An, not your. I understand. I saw 60 minutes talk about the education system in merica. Reading is hard.

And an underfolder, by definition, does not have a sidefolder...?????

Tell ya what, you come down here and experience AKs and I will.

If you bother to read the thread. This entire ego driven BS started when several members ranted about how superior the 81 is to an AK ....without even seeing an AK!!!!!

Your not gonna turn this sheet on me. I call out BS when my meter peaks. And I tell ya what, the Anti American tribalism displayed simply out of spite is epic. Whatever you do, act like a cornered defensive rat by diverting the conversation (which should be about firearms) and attack me based on nationality. Grow up

Do you have night sights? No

Night sights might be nice. I'm sure if I was going to shoot in low light we could find a solution for the T81

Do you have a muzzle brake? No

Thank god. A brake on a low recoiling rifle like a T81 or AK47 is ridiculous.

Do you have the ability to remove your GL at will and reinstall it? No
Do you have a GL sight ladder as an integrated feature of the rifle? No

I don't have any grenades to launch, the GL is just a fun little curiosity.

Do you have a 30 round capacity? No

Sigh, there are dumb gun laws all over the world.

Do you have the ability to attach a bayo without modification? No

I've owned plenty of rifles that were bayonet compatible, but I never used the bayonets for anything important. Bayonets are sort of like the GL, a fun little thing curiosity.

T81 for the WIN!!!

It wasn't really that long ago when Ak's were not prohibited in Canada... You'd be surprised at how many Canadians have a grandfathered license and still own AK's (some right here in this thread). Believe it or not allot of my fellow Canadian gun nutz know what they are talking about and are not BS'ing..
,
It's also a very American thing to cry "Anti american" when your among a people who are not as impressed by americans as americans are...

I tell ya what. Anyone on my forum conducted themselves in the same manner i.e anti-Canadian (we have many), their azz will be gone so damn fast their head would spin. Some of you seriously need to check yourself.

I will assume you are referring to me. It's not spite at all and I certainly don't feel cornered but the discussion should be about firearms and given you haven't handled or fired a T81, you have nothing to offer here. Dill saved your bacon by stating that an AK 47 is superior to the T81 as he has fired and may own both (I assume); however, the AK 47 is no longer available for general purchase up here. So growing up might be a function of shutting up and reviewing the terms of the debate.
