I've been looking to start IDPA and get some training, like a course or something. But very little info out there.
Any suggestions where i can go? Preferably in the GTA or Peel/Halton Region.

My club doesn't host anything like IDPA or IPSC. Just one place and it takes awhile to get the holster course etc.

Look up tdsa. They have a great progressive pistol training program. It's geared toward competition shooting

I've heard good things about the TDSA courses but from what I've heard when I was looking into getting into IPSC and needed holster training, not all clubs not accept TDSA training and only want Black Badge certification. If you think you're ready skill wise, start looking for a Black Badge course now. Heck, took me a while to find one that wasn't full or the dates conflicted with either work or family crap.

Hey Bob, don't you have to be a member in order to take courses or shoot IPSC/IDPA nights?

Don't know. If that is the case then he might contact the Peterborough Club. It may be to far out for him. They run the course during the summer for certain.

I sent him Grant's contact information.

Take Care

Bob

TDSA courses run out of silverdale are good to take for newbies to action shooting, IPDA or IPSC. I've done pistol 1, 2 and 3. Good confidence builders. Definitely take them, there isn't too much other instruction available around the GTA.

If you're ever in Ottawa we run about 3 or 4 NSOC's during the season...may be a long shot/drive but throwing it out there.

Hey rayzorloo,

Who's we? I'm an EOSC member and I think they have 2 this year, I know Stittsville has a group as well
