Tikka 6.5 creedmoor

The best part of the creedmore thing will be brass availability, rifles in 6.5 cm are everywhere it seems. Almost every make/model is marketing one.

Unless you have a short action.
I have a short action 284 win, it's a browning A-bolt with a clip, max C.O.L is 2.800. It works fine with 139gr and 154gr Hornady bullets. The bullets are seated deep, but there is still plenty of room for powder. 57gr of H4831 with 139 gr bullets. A short action M70 will allow a little more OAL and would be fine in a mountain rifle. For a target rifle, a long action would be ideal. I believe tikka rifles are standard length, therefore, I would choose to rechamber to 284win or 6.5-284. Yes, I like my 284's. :)

Tikka in 6.5 Creed has the short action bolt stop. Weight wise, still a light rifle as a 'long action'

6.5 Creed has tons of ammo options to fit all shooting needs. 6.5x55, if you can find it, is often watered down and not many bullet options. Look at the Hornady Match ammo line alone, they make the 120gr ELD, 130gr ELD, 140gr ELD and 147 ELD ammo for the Creedmoor. For the Swede, zero

The Creedmoor is a good cartridge. The popularity has snowballed and it starts with good ammo options (Hornady) and rifle makers jumping on board. Ballisticly it does nothing new over the 260 or 6.5x55 but it's the new King of Medium 6.5's
