savage hinged floorplate replacement

Hi guys
I want to buy a savage long range hunter, but I don't want the hinged floor plate. I hope I can fit a detachable box magazine instead of the hinged floorplate.
Is anyone did that before? Or know a gunsmith that did it?

I'd check out CORETAC solutions, they carry the atlasworks bottom metal that'll work with AICS pattern mags (http://www.coretacsolutions.com/products_AW_SVG_SA_DBM_AL.htm). These can be a drop in fit or may require a little fitting, but if you'd like then I'm sure any local gunsmith would be happy to help you install it.

I did it on mine. Very straight forward procedure.
