Desert Tech MDR bullpup - rifle of the year 2017

I see these are starting to release in the states any word on a Canadian version being released? Has the FRT been submitted ? I know Reliable is a Desert Tech dealer

I am expecting this to be a quality piece but I'm not expecting it to be cheap. I just hope this doesn't bad boy doesn't have a 7 k price tag.
 
At TACCOM at FOC in Ajax this past March, I asked the person at the Desert Tech display about the MDR. IIRC, he mentioned they were expecting an FRT classification in July.

Vaporware is a product that is continually hyped while still in a state of endless development.

It's just not available in Canada yet.
 
It was literally vapourware for 5 years in the USA. Slow information trickle, continuously showing a non-functional mockup for years then they had a prototype they were whoring out to keep the hype going.
 
I'd rather they worked out the bugs on their dime than their customers (especially with a bullpup). Yeah, it took a while but I'd rather buy a finished product than a prototype al la BCL or MDI.

MAC and TAG have given them positive reviews and they've been shipping units for a good while now. The question of how long it'll be before we see them north of the border is not the fault of DT rather our lousy, incoherently slow FRT approval process.

May as well blame ATRS for the lab dragging heels on the Modern Sporter.

There's a pre sale already up for the MDR.

Expected Q1 2019. So end of 2019, beginning of 2020. Deposit is refundable.
