Today I saw a post of a guy selling once fired, unprocessed brass for about $60/1000 plus shipping. Unless he finds someone that knows nothing about brass pricing, he's never going to sell it, and the price is completely out to lunch. But it's none of my business how he prices his goods, and I don't really care other than being a bit shocked so I didn't bother starting a thread about it. Laugh2

Well I think otherwise, you just did start a thread about that guy. You mentioned him here just like I asked my simply question and wow some of the replies.
I`m NOT looking for hard times here, just asked a question, which looks like from some responses has hit a nerve.

I think it`s better to close this thread down.

No, I made a post on your thread. The intention of my post on your thread was to demonstrate that people can price things however they want, and they will use that option. And you can exercise your option to buy or ignore.

Here's a very simple way to break this down into two types of gun owners. Note that nothing is wrong with the opposing opinion.

Group A likes their guns new, shiny, with as little wear and tear as possible to preserve that ever so precious "resale value"

Group B (which includes myself) doesn't give a rats ass about resale value, foreign opinions or any of that sort. We B groupies like to use, shoot, and abuse our firearms to their ragged edge because that's how we always intended to use them, as the tools they are.
We're also known for not "cleaning after every range trip", shooting the cheapest shyte ammo you can find and other hooligan like activities.

In essence, it's those who use versus those who collect. This divide exists in every single hobby from firearms to cars.

Haha sorry George. I think some of us are having a laugh at your expense, no disrespect meant though. Hard times are easy to find here on CGN, don’t take it personally. Anyways I gotta go, still time for a second coat.

I think the missed point here was the OP going on a bit of an EE rant and not so much questioning why you'd want to smash your personal property as you see fit.
To this extent, I can agree here. You're a damned fool if you're taking a once new item, using it, and then wanting like new prices
BUT, in the fashion of all EE rant threads, don't like it? Don't buy it. Simple as that.

And incase anyone thinks it's a sin to paint a rifle, gaze upon my jack job camo and cry.

Painting a rifle does zero to reduce the function of it. To some they are shiny toys to some it's tools. I pay top dollar for a cc not because it's shiny, but because it's a damn good fighting rifle. Don't like the asking price? Don't buy it. They seem to be fairly rare and the few that show up sell... so whoever is buying doesn't care.

Not to derail this thread , but , did you source that paint locally , I want something with more colors then krylon has to offer ?
