I'm not sure that Tim Hortons coffee is even real coffee?? Licoricey-tobaccoey-chiccory, is what goes through my mind every time I drink the stuff. Like I'm drinking a warm beer full of cigarette butts :p

When McDonalds first revamped their coffee a few years back, it was awesome. It's long since been replaced with similiar not-quite-coffee esque, hot beverage.

Homemade all the way!

Also I would like to add from my previous post, timmies has the worst cup design. Forget about the fact that it took them ages to implement a sleeve so you no longer have to double or triple cup which wasn't exactly environmentally friendly, but for what ever reason the coffee is always leaking on the side of the lid which not only burns my hands but staining my pants or shoe.

And are they even using real eggs on their breakfast sandwich? It's very dry and bland. Now Mickey D's eggs are awesome, not sure if they're putting drugs in there but it's very addicting :/

If have the opportunity I choose Rotten Ronny's because I drink my coffee black. There is a reason why the double-double is so popular at Timmies.

Usually I just make at home or drink free coffee.

My uncle has a hunting buddy who's addicted to it. The plan was for my uncle to pick up his hunting buddy (who lives 1/2 hour out of town) at 7AM to go hunting for the day. His buddy woke up at 5:30AM and drove into town to pick up his own Timmies then go back home to wait for my uncle to pick him up.

That is straight up addiction!

I don’t drink a lot of coffee but I make my own if I do. Kicking horse coffee is what I like , smart ass blend. It’s a bit pricey but it’s a Canadian small company and tastes awesome.

McDonald's coffee by far, especially if you drink your coffee black. Once it's been double-doubled or become cafe-mocha, even Tim Horton's tastes okay. Still, I prefer brewing my own at home, and Lavazza Crema usually with a touch of Starbucks is our fix.

Timmys coffee is the worst rancid hog piss and miserable excuse for a beverage. The sad thing is we have been programmed to think it is mothers milk by the Canadian corporate overlords.

I switched to McD's coffee about two years ago. Being a frequent coffee customer I started not finishing my cup of tim's for being ####ty tasting, causing heartburn and inconsistentcy mostly. I tried McD's and was set. When the guys at work set up tim's runs I usually order a tea until this week I tried a double double again and was surprised how good it was. Go figure.

The rim has an edge on it, that you have to line up with the lid tab. Otherwise, if this edge is buried somewhere under the lid, it creates enough of a gap in the lid/cup seal, for that hand burning, lap wetting, dash dripping annoying AF coffee dribble.

Tims reg coffee doesn't even taste like coffee, gotta add cream and sugar to make it taste like anything or scarf down a donut or two to mask the taste, the dark roast isn't bad, but I still like Mc d better! Over all though, service is a bit quicker at timmies!

Donalds for the win. I push the tab down on McDonald's coffee cups. That way if I knock my cup over the coffee it'self will close the lid minimizing the spill. Bonus

Mickey Dees is better coffee but their clientele in Yellowknife look like extras for Walking Dead. The downtown A&W is way worse. Timmies parking lot is like a demolition derby. I just drink tea at the sushi place now or go Javaroma. If it's daylight it makes it easier to dodge the assorted body fluids on the sidewalk.

I have been told by people along the way and have seen it on the net in places, the reason why we like McD's coffee so much is it is actually Tims old coffee brew. Tims now roasts and brews their own coffee,

I usually make my own at home, but if buying I like McDonalds the best. Tim's coffee and doughnuts are crap, unfortunately they squashed all the old bakerys and coffee shops that actually made decent doughnuts and coffee.

Duplicate vote for the McD cup design.

Tim's cups are no better then a gas station's.

I don't ever buy McDonald's food and don't care for the sleezeball "creator"... even if he was a genius at franchising, they do got the coffee-to-go market nailed down.

Tim's is (was?) freeze dried coffee. McD went with the ground he coffee in store route which really payed off.
