I've seen lots of Mag Pul AR-15 magazines in the U.S. and was wondering if they're pinned to 5 with a rivet or made directly from the factory to be 5 rd only, before being made available for sale in Canada? Are they even for sale up here? They seem like a pretty tough magazine compared to the old USGI aluminum ones.

if you can find them get the gen2, seat better in my NEA and feeds perfect, my gen3 give some feeding issues, could just be my rifle though. I've seen them in stock at select shooting supplies if you feel like ordering online.

also you can get a mag block from magpul to make them pinned but removable.. I don't know how legal they are up here though..

It is absolutely your rifle that is the issue.

My usual rotation of mags consist of 10 gen 2's and 10 gen 3's of varying age and condition. Not a single one has ever given me any type of issues. Funnily, I used to have a few issues with reliability in my first rifle, a Norinco, but it was later determined it was a problem with the out of spec bolt catch on the rifle.

With the testing that's gone in to the Gen 3 mags, it's almost a solid guarantee that if you have consistent problems with a range of differing Pmags, it's your gun or your ammo.

I use Gen3 pmags in my Core15 and I frequently lend them to buddies with different AR brands with no issues. Must be another NEA "unique feature"

yeah I think its the mag.. everything on my NEA has been upgraded, only thing remaining as NEA is the lower receiver. I was at the range last night and tried a fellow members gen3 and had no issues.

It's not the magazine.... Unless it's the rivet in which case that still isn't the magazine.
