STI 1911 pistols

First off, let me confirm the rumours, STI is indeed getting out of the single stack game! They have only one single stack model this year, the DVC Classic (more on this in a minute).

New from STI this year is the DVC Omni, which combines the features from many of their popular guns into one. For example, it has the H.O.S.T. mount for red dots, a compensator like the Costa (and others), front sight mounted to the barrel etc. The gun was so popular at range day that I did not get a chance to shoot it as it had to go off the line to get cleaned and oiled!

I did however get to shoot the single stack DVC Classic in 9mm.

As well as the Chris Costa with compensator and wow, what a difference the comp makes! The 147 grain through the Costa felt softer than the 115 grain through the DVC Classic!

Here are a few more from STI’s booth such as the Marauder

But my favourite of their lineup was the DVC Open…that charging handle is insane! Plus you can unscrew it and mount it on the other side if you prefer.

Thanks for covering STI booth love that company.
Intended use would be just have fun with it, STI seem to make more and more fun gun/tactical guns in the past few years.
They used to be much more competition orientated.

Still wish i could change my trojan for a DVC classic/limited sometime, other priorities ahead.

omni is a beauty , very appealing, I would use the excuse that I need for ipsc when buying. Since it’s not I would have to come up with a new excuse to appease the gods.

3-gun and steel challenge for competitions would be my guess.
Real world use? I kinda doubt it.

I both these games you would be placed in open with better options available.
This is a fun gun only!
If my salary was 6 digits i'd probably buy one and just have fun at certain events while not being most competitive.

Most guys I see run open around here don't run a true "competition" style open gun, most of it is a standard pistol with a red dot, becoming more and. Ore common across the board. This would definitely have the edge over them.

Amazing Stuff!!!! I almost got a 2017 STI Edge but it was just slightly outta my price range for a Standard gun. Only shot 1 and handled a few others but each time it was memorable. Thanks for the photos.
