Ruger Old Model 44 Magnum

I can, and I can't get my head around why today with all the technology with all the automated machines we cannot create a better revolver?
I just picked up a Ruger old Model 44 Magnum, MOD 1961.
And this is my second old model,And this revolver puts the new one's to shame! I'v had the new ones also!
I guess it's the human "hands on" of the old world ( not so much old world? 1950-60 ) that put that special blueing, and that fitting to wood and steel that make it special.
I love this revolver! And all the work by the people that put it together. It is the test of "THAT" time!

Yup

My 3 screw Rugers are awesome...simply blow the newer guns away in fit/finish and feel.
Its simple..they had human hands laid on them with files and attn to detail....
Ruger or anyone else can still make guns this way.....they just can't afford to...at least not without a ridiculous price tag that most are not willing to pay.

But shut the F#@&^% up....shhhh.....keep it to ourselves

Nice! I picked up a 'goodie' a little while ago that would fit well with those two. An old model single six, one with a flat loading gate.

Profits and lawyers is the two biggest reasons. Ruger cap and ball , not enough profit. Happens every time the original owner sells out to a larger company. They now answer to stock holders.

Have a 4 5/8" Superblackhawk in 44 Mag and another in 357 Maximum, a 41 Mag Blackhawk, and a 45 Colt/45ACP/45Win Mag convertible Blackhawk. Nice revolvers. - dan
