Hey guys, I'm looking for suggestions for a replacement stick for my M70 EW. I would like something better fitting and a touch lighter then the B&C stock that came with it. Would be great if I could keep the price to the $5-600 range. Would love a McMillan Edge but $1K seems a bit to steep.

I just ordered one for my EW, It should be here in the next couple days. He told me it would be a month (which isn't bad) he called a couple days later and said it was on it's way. I love when the things you order show up weeks early!

Just checked the mail and it's here. Yes it's shaped like the featherweight. Looks exactly as I thought it would, but I've bought a few Wildcat composites in the past.
I will add, I do believe this stock is for the older two piece bottom metal and needs to be opened up a little for the newer one piece stuff. Not really a problem though, it will need to be bedded and finished. I had him install the swivel studs.

I have to do a little relief work for the Timney trigger to fit and iam in the middle of a move. But pm me a email or phone number and I can send you a picture I shamelesly stole off the net.

In the "custom hunting rifle pic thread" the OP posted a pic of a pre 64 in a Winchester Wildcat.

I didn't catch that the first few times I looked through that thread. It looks great!

I put a McMillan Edge on a m70 EW, dropped 12oz in a hurry. Wildcat makes a good stock, you'll be happy

My first thought was an Edge but they have to be aroind $1K by the time it gets here. Which stick is lighter?

The Echols McMillan is my favourite by a landslide.
