P320 Trigger

It's not a safety recall as far as Sig is concerned. It's a voluntary upgrade. The new Apex Advanced Trigger will only work in a P320 that has had the upgrade. Plus the new P320's that come from the factory all have the upgrade done.

That's right. Calling it a safety recall requires SIG by law to contact all owners and ensure the fix is completed. That would cost a mint and be a large black eye for SIG. Calling it a "voluntary upgrade" means SIG has zero obligation to contact owners and only convinces the lesser IQ types that they are somehow getting something amazing for free and have not been sold a defective dangerous product..

Ahhhh.....life on the spectrum!

Obviously, most big companies will just do what is legally required. In this case Sig passed the basic safety tests so they aren't required to do anything as far as lawyers and courts are concerned.

That said, it would be nice to see them step up and voluntarily issue a recall. So far they aren't doing that.

In the end, once the mod is done and no matter what it's called, it definitely is an "upgrade". :)
