Nice gun one of my buds has one and decided it was too lite for him.. to each his own I like the Ruger Hunter as well.. perhaps others who own one will chime in

I've got 8 of the 22/45 Lites and a few other MK series pistols...have been great to shoot. On several of them I have installed Volquartsen trigger kits.

Nice collection. Where did you acquire them? I've only seen 2 of the 22/45 Lite models available in Canada and 1 of them was through IRunGuns.

Exactly this ^.. sold my previous version 22/45 lite and bought the heavy barrel target version, much more satisfied with it!

It sure looked nice though but my friend is a committed Target shooter so I guess he preferred the heavier version, for myself the Hunter is just right

Do the tapered barrels of the two Standards make any noticeable difference? I am looking to buy one and prefer the look of the tapered barrel on the Standard (makes it look like a Luger to me) but don't know if I sacrificing any performance by taking that model.

I recently picked up a really nice used 22/45 Mark II with the stainless target barrel and I love it, fantastic pistol. The new generation lite models certainly look different, I would love to try one sometime. The stainless target barreled version I have is anything but light, lol.

Not my picture but same model as I have.

Being heavy some times is an assist in shooting accurately keeping flip to minimum

Yes for sure, I wasn't implying that it being heavy was a bad thing, merely that if the model the OP linked was a "lite" model mine is the complete opposite. Its the most accurate pistol I have. I did get rid of the weird "hooked" front sight in favour of a HiViz fiber optic sight, otherwise its awesome in stock condition.
