Hi, hoping for some help. Bought a lower off the ee, neither of my uppers will fit into it. The problem is the recess for the rear lug where the rear pin goes through. The recess measures .488”, both of my uppers are .502ish across the lug. Obvious figment problem. Could someone measure their guns and report sizes? Thanks.

I dont have any lowers here but you for sure have a problem, because I have uppers and the first one I picked up measures .4930 wide for the rear lug so your .488 is too narrow

I just measure 2 more high end uppers both .4945 +

Used lower ?? Low price ??

Send a email to the Manufacture of the lower

If it is the lug on the upper it is easier to fix than the opening of the lower
is everything else in spec ?

Ps
I had to go over to a friends place to to check a lower that was out of spec ( I fixed it)

Both uppers fit my S&W lower no problem. Guy I bought it from said he never mounted anything on it. He pmed the guy he bought it from who said he had mounted more than one upper on it and had no idea what I was talking about. Are any lugs under .488” or is the guy full of it? Not trying to cause trouble for either of them, buyer beware. I’ll deal with the manufacturer to make it right. Just curious.

I measured 4 different uppers for you and all were over .49

I have seen the mil spec for the lower width listed at .5" + .005 not smaller so no -

A little reluctant to post the make till I let them check it out. If they have to mill it out it will be bare aluminum. Waiting to see what they come up with. The guy that said he’d had several uppers on it might be a bit sketchy to deal with. Haha

Looks like it should be 0.500"

I had an out of spec Dlask lower with it thinner and buffer retainer hole too far back.

Also an NEA upper with a takedown hole too high up.

I'm no expert of course, but, just finished a complete parts build on a new NEA lower and used a combination of colt, NEA and magpul parts. Everything fit together like Lego and runs like a dream. Not a single thing was out of alignment or specifications.

You got lucky
