Leupold Rimfire VX2 3-9X33 EFR - Discontinued?

There. Just snatched a vx 2 6-18 ao fine duplex. Should be good for rimfire I hope. Never has a vx 2. Just my rifleman 2-7 and a vx 3 at one time.

A lot of stores cleared them out in November because that is when they were discontinued, at a relatively good price, I passed on them then because I was expecting a direct replacement. I regret my gamble, but that is why I started this post because any remaining models were so hard to find. Coincidence that Prophet River got a batch at the same time. I wish you luck in your hunt, perhaps if a few straggle in to a store someone might share that info here.
 
It is too bad about the loss of the efr scopes.
The Indoor range I shoot at is only 20 yards.
Many scopes parallax correction cannot be adjusted below that.
I have found Two decent pieces of glass that do in case anyone wants to read up on them.
Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5 - 16 x 50 with 30mm tube ( Mounted on my KIDD Ruger 10/22 using Burris Signature Zee Rings ) $800.00 Plus
Sightron S TAC 4 - 20 x 50 with 30 mm tube ( Mounted on my CZ 452 Varmint 22lr using Burris Signature Zee Rings ) $680.00 Plus
Neither of these is a Leupold. Though the VX3I 6 - 20 x 40 with 1 inch tube does sound nice.
I went to site sponsors Plain Sight Solutions, and Hirsch Precision for the scopes, Mystic also sell the Sightron and Burris Rings.

I just spoke to Leupold and they said that a replacement model with AO would be released this summer.

No need for panic buying and paying inflated prices we're currently seeing. I did snag a couple myself though :)
