Hey everyone. So I bought a M&P 15 and have a few hundred rounds through it and am looking to start the upgrade process. I added a Nikon 1x4 optic to start with and now want to upgrade to foregrip, pistol grip and butt stock. I am really looking at the magpul MOE M-lock foregrip it seems like a solid basic upgrade from the stock foregrip. Now I swear I saw a furniture kit including that foregrip somewhere but after a lot of googleing and going from site sponsor to site sponsor I cannot find a 3 piece upgrade kit. Does anyone know of someone who stocks one?

Also open to other recommendations of different kits. Not looking to break the bank or go free float or anything like that. All I am looking for is a basic upgrade for a starter AR. Once I have a few thousand rounds down range and am ready to upgrade to a DD or CC is when I will go all out and spend the money but for now fun range days is all I am after. Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure if there's a kit out there, but I strongly suggest you look on the Equipment Exchange. People are always swapping out furniture so there's plenty of deals to be had.

I prefer the M&P to keep it's meat and potatoes look. I went with Magpul front and back, and threw a little Mlock rail on the bottom of the handguard to attach front end gear if desired. In my mind, the M&P is a all business type of carbine and no need to tart it up too much.

Which length handguard is that? Is that the Moe sl with notch out for FSB or the other version?

Go with the Magpul SL carbine front hand guard, the sides and bottom cover the hot gas block/A2 front sight and allow for a further forward front grip than the shorter carbine hand guard. It has M-LOK slots for add ons.

Grip is your choice, I prefer the Magpul K2 with its better angle for CQB vs the OEM grip, it is also fatter without the finger groove which fits my hand way better. I also went with the plus model, wrapped in rubber for better purchase.

There are a number of stocks to choose from, specifically mil spec buffer tube for this gun. The OEM stock is fine if you don’t mind the rotational rattle, I didn’t so I replaced it with a Magpul SL stock, minimal size and it locks up really solid.

I definitely like the look of the magpul sl foregrip and butt stock that is for sure. And I agree 100% with the not tarting up the M&P it’s a working carbine. I like the idea of a fatter pistol grip as well the stock one feels a little small in my hand. I also want to change the furniture from black to OD green for some contrast.

Looks like I will have to peice them together though as I can not find a 3 peice kit anywhere. Have no issue doing this just hoping to save a bit of cash on the bundle and have a one stop shop.

I don't recall ever seeing a "kit" I just get them individually. It's hard to tell from my pic, but one has black and one grey magpul. It's how I tell them apart :)

Both have about 6000 rounds through them, no real issues. Good guns.

When you say "no real issues," does that mean you've had some kind of minor issues?

I just bought one today as a place holder for a build I'm planning to do. Can't wait to get my hands on it, as I haven't had an AR for a few years!

I think I had a failure to extract once. Probably because it was dirty.

Well found what I was looking for. Magpul MOE furniture kit including hand guard, stock and pistol grip for $67 USD from brownells. Was hoping to find it here in Canada but I can’t peice it together for that price even with shipping and exchange rate. Thanks for all the reply’s here though helped me choose exactly what I wanted. Cheers!

Link? All I see is @ $108.00 US

Oh sorry I should have mentioned it, regular price is $108.00 but being a veteran Brownells gives a pretty decent discount of a lot of items. They recognize Canadian military as well which was my way in.

Not sure about kits, but I went with Magpul on mine. I like the setup. And you can't go wrong with Magpul as far as quality IMHO.

Where are you guys getting the SL handguard? I just checked about ten Canadian retailers and they're all sold out.
