CZ collection grows again

Very nice!

I'm doing my best not to add one of these and one of the stainless soft touch 455's to my CZ collection. I've actually yet to buy a 455- everything is 452's so far, and I love every one of them!

I have to say I still prefer my 452 American over the newer 455..maybe I need to give it some time.

I started with a 513, shortly thereafter a 452 Lux, then a 453 lux, a 527 carbine, and finally this 455. I was pretty wigged out by good and bad reviews and owners experiences with the 455, but after the results I got with bulk ammo all my worries have been laid to rest.

So there is still hope :)

I have to give a shout-out to NorthProSports. I picked up a sweeeeeet little 455 Stainless Walnut stocked beauty this past weekend. They have the soft-touch in stock as well, and I was eyeing those up for the last month or so, but when I walked in the store last Friday and saw a few new CZ rifle boxes that had just been delivered, I had to know what was inside! "Walnut stainless 455 you say?" SOLD!!! It even came with a cheap CZ sling and a fairly nice CZ soft rifle case!

I tried to get the recommended dip rail once and came up empty..

As an alternative, there is the EGW rail available from Brownells. Very well made and solid rail. https://www.brownells.com/optics-mounting/rings-mounts-amp-bases/rifle-bases/index.htm?avs|Make_3=CZ

Nice rifle Mulby, the Canadian edition was my first CZ. SK ammo tends to shoot well in many CZs, but every rifle is different so you'll just have to try as many different types as you have ambition for to see what works best. My full stock was an odd duck that liked Eley Edge best when all my other rifles hated it. Ya never know.

Damn! I hadn't noticed that! I need to stop buying for a while. Including my CZ air rifles I'm up to eight. Hopefully these are around when I have more gun money set aside.

Thanks for the ammo suggestion. I haven't tried any SK stuff yet but there is a dealer in Saskatchewan that carries it. I have a good stock of CCI standard that is great in everything I've tried it in so far. I suspect the 455 will be just fine with it for my needs.

I found out that
RWS Rifle Match superior
shot the best in my 452 etc

I haven't shot a 455 yet to compare the two. I mostly ended up with 452's based on word of mouth and FOMO of not being able to find one once they got more scarce. I'm not into super precision rimfire shooting so i'm not sure if i'd even notice a difference. My 452's are for hunting/plinking (my 452 varmint and 452 scout) and collecting/*hopefully* never shooting (452 american and 452 farewell)

455 Walnut stainless?! You sir, may have just cost me some money!

Although, I specifically want stainless so I can abuse it a bit more and I'd feel bad about throwing a nice walnut stock in the back of the truck. Maybe I should stick with the soft touch...
