Split up Shotgun EE?

I'd like to see it split up but I would propose it be divided based on action type....break open for one group and pump, semi and bolt action for the other.

That would resolve the posting under both problem that Okayshooter warns against as well as making the choice Rye_One wonders about quite easy.

Typically, I think most people decide on the action type they want before anything else.

If it got split at all, which I don't see the problem with having all the shotguns under one section, I think this would be the way to go. There's too much grey area on what is a hunting shotgun and what isn't.

Maybe just join shotgun world? They even have sub forums for different brands!

It don't need to change. Only thing wrong is people. If they used "Mossberg 500 12ga pump" instead of "shotgun for sale" life and the search feature would be so much easier.

It really bothers you to see all those black and green shotguns cohabitating nicely with the "sporting" shotguns doesn't it? How tolerant of you...

There are so many things that can be done to improve the EE but the powers to be seem reluctant to take advice/suggestions from the user base...

While at it, maybe add some manufacturers sub forum... You know, to save us from browsing through adds of brands we don't like... and lets not forget a gauge sub-sub-forum, because some of us are not interested in this or that gauge... and before I forget, maybe a sub-sub-sub-forum for guns that have been refinished and a parallel-sub-forum for guns that have been modified from their original specs...

The nomenclature of sxs and o/u made by companies like Baikal and Yildiz are far worse
