BCL 102 stripped receiver set thread

I'll let you know on some other stuff.

Waiting on ARFX tube/stock and JP captured buffer with that.

Triggertech triggers work.
SLR DPMS high Armalite threaded handguard work.
Aluminum grips need shaping and another hole drilled for the takedown pin spring/detent.
What is the thread size for the barrel nut on a BCL-102? Trying to check what would fit.

Not really 100% sure.

It is Armalite threaded for sure. SLR standard DPMS high fit. They may have dimensions on their website. My guess is that it is industry standard aside from the threading.

As far as Armalite vs DPMS "standards" go, and I use that term loosely in the case of any AR 10 ish rifle, the bbl nut should work within reason based on threading.

DPMS tpi will not work. Confirmed by trying an bbl nut from DPMS

I'd be looking around for local options, or Canadian online stores, then go to a US store as the last resort.

There is really not many options.

I had to order my Criterion Hybrid from Brownells.

I also ordered a FA bolt from @####h.

Very little options in Canada for any of this stuff.

Time to whip out the wallet.

I bought a complete rifle, and by the time I'm done, only the BCG and upper/lower will be original.

It is what it is.

This knock-off charging handle worked on my gen 1 when i had it.

It's surprisingly high quality.

This chinese handguard has an AR10 18 TPI thread option and fit on my gun well.

The handguard is only 13 oz and is $65. They only offer keymod though and it's not the best looking thing.

Both items take about 2 weeks to ship if you select ePacket as the ship method.

Ordered a barrel from Craddock Precision and will work with an exporter on it. Wanted to buy local but seems like a long wait. Lots of blanks in stock and can spin up what you want in time to export it next month. Has 224 Valkryie if anyone is interested in that too.

I'm also waiting on a McGowen .338 Fed bbl from Jerry at Mystic. Will update on that when able.

You can add the JP Silent Capture 308 buffer to the "It works" list.

In fact the buffer will allow you to:

1. Use a standard Rifle length buffer tube
2. Use a standard carbine length buffer tube
3. Use the OEM A5 length buffer tube (with some minor modification to the included spacer)

Prereq is an adjustable gas block.

It shouldn't need an adjustable gas block. My MH ran fine without an adjustable gas block with just the standard spring in the JP SCSS. That being said you can fine tune it more with an adjustable gas block.

You can also get a couple other different springs & tungsten weights for the JP SCSS as well to tune it. After messing around with mine in my MH with different weights, springs and a adjustable gas block. I found the standard weights & spring to work the best for the couple of loads I run.

Mystic precision can do criterion barrels.

I am going to do a 6.5 Creedmoor build for mine. I am interested in the new FAXON heavy 20” barrel with 5r rifling and milled flutes to keep the weight down. I think cowboy tactical supply can get these, but I have not reached out yet.

Just to clarify, I can offer AR10/DPMS (and of course AR15) pattern barrels from McGowen, Shilen, Krieger and IBI.. Criterion is related to Krieger but they do their own thing wrt to export and it is not ideal.

If gen 2 BCLs use some other barrel extension spec, someone please let us all know.

Every popular chambering is available... lots of custom options and spec.... and at pricing similar to US retail plus exchange rate/postage. Please visit their sites to see all the options possible

PM or email to order or for a quote.

Thanks

Jerry
