I have been looking for a PPC revolver for a while, one of the custom ones with heavy barrel, full length underlug and large rib with multi-position sights. It has occurred to me that I will need a holster for it when I eventually find one but I have not ever seen a holster for a non-standard revolver like these. Where do people source holsters from and what style was typical among PPC competitors when revolvers were the gun of choice in that discipline?

Thanks,
Mark

Can’t help you with the holster, but Cabela’s Calgary has a PPC gun built on a Smith and Wesson. They want ~$860, which is way too much for what it is, but perfectly reasonable if you are specifically looking for a great PPC gun. Can’t even buy a Smith to build one on for much less than that, let alone the parts and labour.

That is way too much, but I will have to wander by for a look anyway. Thanks for the tip.

What Ted said. Used this holster for years in PPC, worked great.

Awesome, thank you gentlemen.

Bought a Cup challenge in '92 and it still works just fine. Use it for NRA Action, PPC and even IPSC. Worth the money, works with K, L and N frames.

I know a lot of people don't think the WTB ads work but I posted one about a year ago for a PPC gun and picked up VG-EX S&W Model 10 with 6" heavy slab barrel, Aristocrat sight rib and fantastic trigger for $575. Had a couple of other offers for similar guns in the same price range as well. Patience is your friend. :d

I have been looking on and off for a while, but a lack of work over the last two years has taken precedence over guns lately. I did try a WTB ad and got a couple responses, but nothing panned out in the end. I am in no hurry and would even trade a nice 6" Mod. 66-1 for an equal condition PPC revolver. They are out there and I just need to keep watching until it works out.

I've also put out a WTB for a PPC gun. Anything comes up that I take a pass on, I'll PM you.
