Hello all,
I've noticed that I can't seem to find a single dealer with Russian TT33's in stock anymore, and there are currently few to none on the EE. Does anyone know of a dealer that still has any? Or has the supply of Russians dried up? Yes I've seen chinese, polish, and yugo but no russian.

I have noticed that as well. It seems like the supply of the Russian tt33 pistols has gone dry at least for now in Canada. It seems like most of Russian surplus has dried up, even Mosin nagant rifles! I imagine this is due to poor relations with Russia. I saw one russian tt33 the other day at solely outdoors. It was in nice condition but had the crappy import mark on the slide. As of now that's probably your best bet as who knows when, if ever we will see any more surplus from Russia. I would not be surprised if we start seeing a big rise in price on theese handguns in the near future.

Listed for 280$ , of course +tax will end to 300$ Tok. At that price will float on private sale on EE for half of the year and still not sold.

Hey Corne, that's only because very few people that own them want to collect them. I would pay extra for a decent Russian over any of the others.

IMHO, get a Chinese. They are as well made as late production Russian, but have chromed bores. Love mine. Eats the surplus up.

I wonder about the condition of the TT33s they have and if you only get one mag. Nice that you get a holster with the gun for your collection. I been leaning towards the Yugo M57 and ammo combo deal from a sponsor on the site.

Thanks for the heads up, do you have one( or more) of theirs, how is the condition? They seem to vary greatly from retailer to retailer! Think I will take a chance anyway, won't get any cheaper than that! Those ones with the export marks on them are terrible looking!

There are several major sources of Soviet TTs in Canada. Most common are Soviet refurbs imported from Ukraine - they have no import/export markings and are in sound mechanical and exterior condition (also you can find 1944 or later guns in original condition or light refurbs). Second most common is recent import from Russia - also Soviet refurbs, also in sound mechanical condition however with ugly Russian export/civilian firearm markings. There are also other minor sources - Soviet refurbs imported from Germany (originally came from Ukraine and have DE xx UA import marking), Soviet refurbs from one of Baltic states (have modern Baltic export marking), non-refurbished TT-30 from Italy (not sure who and when sold them to Italy, have modern Italian import markings) and finally bring-backs (very few in Canada, good luck finding one). So if one wants Soviet TT I would look at small vendors still having old Ukrainian import, or EE. Condition of those TTs are very similar, they are good shooters.

A friend picked up one there last fall, he had looked at a few before choosing the one he has, it was in very nice condition-no pitting on the finish, just ask a lot of questions, also don't remember the the year his was-good luck guys

Exactly where I am right now. I have shot TT-33s but that extra lentgh and round in the M57 would be nice... and practical!
