Sako or Browning

I know a lot of this will be personal preference but that is what I'm looking for. I recently came across a near mint Sako m995 in 25-06. Very nice gun! Most of my guns are Browning with a few Marlin's and of course a Cooey or two. I have been considering selling it to buy a new xbolt hunter in 25-06 as I prefer wood stocks for the most part. Would you hold on to the Sako or move it for a Browning?
 
The 995 is a superior gun in almost every way to the Browning, save for weight. If you like it and it shoots why would you sell it for a Browning? Nothing wrong with a little variety, spice things up!

It is heavy but it'll be a stand/ field gun...I'll carry something else. Not sure what it is about Browning but they do fit me and I like them but the m995 seems to be a smooth running gun. Thanks for your input.
 
If I remember correctly the stock on your gun is from McMillan, which today is a very expensive custom upgrade and not OEM by any means.
 
Not many bad reviews for the X-Bolt out there, but as soon as it gets compared to a SAKO, it's a bad choice. <huh??>

They're both good rifles. I'd buy the one I like and fits the best and that would probably be the X-Bolt given the lighter weight.
 
I got my gun to the range today...it isn't going anywhere. I had under 1" at 100 off my bipod and rushing because my wife came for some reason haha. I have nothing bad to say about Browning, I own 3 of them and love them but whatever thoughts I had of selling/ trading this Sako are long gone. What an awesome caliber too.

I just received my Sako in the mail yesterday......hope that answers your question. Sako quality, workmanship and accuracy is superior to Browning.
 
Obviously, buy and keep the one you like, the one that makes you happy. Screw everybody else's opinion.

But, since you asked, I'd take the Sako in a heartbeat. :)
