Every organization can have a bad apple or two, but you make a grave error if you judge them all by that. Think yourself lucky you live in Canada and we are policed by the RCMP even if our pm ( Lower case deliberately) values terroist higher than our veterans.

Ruger 10/22 30 rd magazines... game set match. Nothing honourable about the RCMP firearms lab.

That wasn't too much of a concern when a chance was taken on the nodak...

Seemed to work out for those guys. No different here.

it wasn't a full gun, just a replacement lower (yes I know the receiver is the gun). Im just speculating here. I hope this works and all dealers stop submitting guns to the lab that meet non restricted criteria according to the act. This gun is a great price (the same as the originals were what a decade ago now?) , all metal and should be wayyyy better than the plastic armalite lower and stamped metal upper on it. John is no dummy. He must know what hes doing.

I have a feeling someone here is going to buy it and submit it to RCMP.

Yes please do. PM me for my detachment address when you are ready. I will even supply some issued 30 round magazines to be used during the "testing" phase. I will not clean it when I'm done, but I'll buy lunch. ;)

Please quote chapter and verse which states: "the RCMP is the ONLY authority in this land who can proclaim the rifle to be Non Restricted" Please don't tell me I read it on the internet so it has to be true, I need to know what section of the Criminal Code or regulations you are quoting?

I always understood the RCMP enforce the Law that our elected Government makes, I don't see any section in the CC that allows the RCMP discretion in firearms classification.

^

Also, should the RCMP classify this as anything else than non-restricted, I bet some people will promptly send them Access to Information Requests about any and all items used to determine said classification.

Heck if they're proven wrong, you could sue for damages, loss of business, loss of reputation, etc.

Doesn't matter. The lower is the regulated part. The frt lists it with uppers so it was classified as a complete gun given the upper options available. Hence the restricted and NR factory lengths listed in the nodak frt.

I don't want an FRT ... but if you want it so bad we can do split the costs eh?

Wolverine has submitted it. They just aren't waiting for it to be published before starting sales.

So why do I see many disgruntled posters in this thread?

I would be more concerned with this rifle running around with an open mouth than anything else.
