Maybe this belongs in legal, but I'm new to this. Since I read the law about magazine capacities My mind has been swimming with the posibilities.

Highest Capacity magazine for 22LR... go!
22WMR?

Also I heard that certain pistols of the 9mm variety can accept larger caliber magazines with a few extra 9mms shoved in. Any one try this or is this a Reddit rumour gone wild? I was told Beretta 92/96 work.

Finally any pump action shotguns with drum mags like the AA-12? Or would that be dumb?

Thank you for tolerating my ignorant questions.

Yes, the 92/96 works, also 9mm Glocks can use 40 Cal magazines reliably and hold more then 10 rounds of 9mm. As long as you don't alter the magazine, its all legal, for now. Rumors are liberals are working to fix the loophole.

HA! I knew it! Thanks. I guess 9mm in a 45 ACP is asking too much

You can use some 10mm/40cal in some 9mm. As long as you don't deface or tamper with them. You can usually get an extra 2 or 3 rounds in them. You will need to squeeze the lips together slightly to hold the 9mm in place.

Any particular pistol or all of them? Does this count as 'tampering?'

New people ask a lot about bending the rules lately. Just think about it.

Personally I wish the rules were a bit more generous but I'm okay with exploring the limits. Partially kina bummed about the 10/22 ruling.
What kind of rim fires guns still have ample magazine capacities? I'm considering the GSG-15
