Does such a scope exist?

Hey guys~my most recent (new) scope purchases have been Sightrons...but like lots of people I'm sure...I can't afford to slap $1,500 scopes on every rifle. I'm currently window shopping for a scope I'm not sure exists, the ideal candidate for my purposes would look like this...new OR used;

*variable power, top-end of 18X-20X
*adjustable objective or SF
*fine crosshair or fine duplex reticle (anything fine)
*1" tube
*42-44mm obj.
*.125/1/8" adjustments
*matte finish
*$500-ish

Something like this out there? What might be closest? Due to some bad experiences with cheap Bushnells...that brand has been off my "radar" for some time. The "cheap" part is my own fault. lol Open to Nikon, don't like their BP reticle. Curious about the Burris E1, though their AO model tops-out @ about 14X and has 1/4 MOA adj.

Take a look at a Weaver V24 with the Varmint dot reticle. Natchez. com has these on special frequently & they do ship to Canada.

Look at the Nikon prostaff 5 line. I have one on a 22-250 and am very happy with it. Not sure what the top end magnification is on that line but mine is 3.5-14x. My only issue with them is that auto correct likes to call them a Nikon prostate.

OP's scope search sounds like the Weaver I just purchased from the EE.
It's going on the T-3 223.

Yup - I have a Prostaff 5 4-18x40mm but in Mildot - you can get them in Plex. It checks off almost evrything on the list.

Burris makes a Timberline scope, but is only 14x32mm.

You are wrong. Many retailers won't take the trouble to figure out the export regulations and do the paperwork for a potential market as small as Canada. Some scopes can't be exported legally, many can if the right permits are obtained.

Weaver is available through Mystic Precision also. I asked and came away with the impression that warranty could be a PIA since Weaver doesn't have a service centre in Canada. You'd be responsible for returning the scope to the US, then getting it back here was a headache too. There may be easy solutions to that problem, I didn't research it to death.
I've stayed with Leupold as a result.
How close do you need it to focus? Leupold only makes a couple that focus under 25 yds, and they don't fit your template in terms of budget.
I've heard mixed reviews on the Mueller scopes. Some swear by them, others at them.
I've had good luck with Nikon, though they don't make a scope that fits my needs for rimfire.
