WK180-C Sold 1,000 in 75 hours

Just got on the bandwagon and ordered two from different vendors, just to spread the sales around. I'm sure I didn't get in on the first 1000 rifle, so it's going to be a little bit of a wait.
I have many restricted firearms, but never felt they really belonged to me 100% having had to turn in a AP9 (took 2 years to get compensation). A NR rifle with the looks of a AR appeals to me and being made in Canada is a bonus.
Never wanted a Type 81 because Chinese build quality, but that's just me.

Damn. Missed out on this one!
Are there more coming??

In all seriousness though, the "AR = Restricted" argument is being proven to be such bullsh*t with rifles like this and the AR-10 replacements out there. At some point the pony-police are going to have to either lift the AR Ban or ban every Semi auto rifle out there for it to make even a shred of sense.

This has been a dream of mine for many years, 4 US, 1 Israeli and 1 Canadian manufacture all turned me down. That infamous "Spartan Debacle" caused me to work with Steve from Kodiak and the WK180-C is the result. I have two more rifle projects, one is still in my head the other is already on the drawing board. stay tuned, "More to follow".

It's a good thing you retired :). Now we all benefit from all your hard work.

But why would you bother to purchase an AR for 1500-3500 only to be used at a range, and usually 1-2 moa......when you can get one of these, run it anywhere, and is 2/3 to 1/4 the price of an AR and it is also a 1-2 moa rifle that takes ar parts.....

Some ARs are going for 600$ and are 1-2 MOA just like the 180. For 400$ more you get NR status and no iron sight.
Some other ARs are 3000$+ and are 1 MOA.

There's such a wide range of choices for ARs that it can't possibly become obsoelete. And just FYI, the 180 uses as many AR parts as possible (while staying a 180) in order to reduce costs. The sheer volume of parts manufactured for AR15 makes it possible to offer that rifle at a lower price point for the quality than any other rifle.

You can easily build a sub-moa AR for less than $1k. You can build a budget AR for about $500.

You can "build" a budget AR for 500 or "build" a sub moa AR.......you can't purchase (as I stated) them for the price. (and I can't see you building a sub-moa AR for $1000 using new parts. Used maybe, not new.)

I will publicly state that we as a general rule seldom buy from distributors who are also retailers due to the potential conflict of interest possibilities. Having said that we (Dianne and I) consider you and Pat (not to forget Matt) as trustworthy friends and have no problems ever buying from your company. You are an honest worthy competitor and we are glad to support you and family in all your ventures. You have strengthened the Canadian firearms industry in your efforts like this firearm...thanks. Phil.

Mr. Wolverine, thank you!!!! I'm not in on the first 1000 and likely won't be in on the second 1000, but this is definitely on my list! Once I save my pennies (or sell a kid :D) there will be one of these rifles slaying coyotes in NB.
I think that this being completely Canadian is fantastic, that's $995,000 in 75 hours going to pay Canadian salaries and supporting Canadian business and families, Kudos to you sir!

you are not in the know lol

Question was for Wolverine who has 2 videos up on youtube with multiple shooters shooting it. So I imagine they have the rifle, have shot it, and have an idea of how well it shoots. The videos focus only on reliability. I am not going to buy it if it shoots like an sks, I already have 2 of those.

I don't understand your question or even if there is a question to answer?

Good to see actual sentences used! This makes it much easier to respond than just 2 words and a question mark! :)

The videos they have are of a prototype with a different barrel than what production rifles will carry. They had to make sure it functions first, right? Can't give an actual accuracy report until they actually finalize on a production barrel.

Somewhere they said 2MOA or better, so that's probably what they are aiming for.
