Kidding aside, awesome to see new (affordable) NR black rifles up here.

Well done, Sir. Well done indeed.
Thank you for putting an end to the so-called NR Tax.
A solid, well built affordable NR fun-gun has been long overdue.
I see several have already asked a question I have. Will there be a 5.45x39 Russian version?
I wish you all the best of success.
I'm simply fascinated in how you moved this forward in spite of the industry types roadblocking you. Success is the best revenge.
Your father is a wise man. I'm sure he is proud of the things you have accomplished. Congratulations on this project! I will be ordering one myself (as soon as work picks up - damn oil patch!). If i ordered now, I would surely incur the wrath of my wife....The answer is very simple, My Dad brought me up believing that there was no such word as "can't" if I said I "can't do that" I would get a lecture to the effect that I was capable of moving Mt Everest with a shovel and wheelbarrow if I put my mind to it. I think that was a good lesson, I am told I am stubborn and tenacious, the end result is a winning combination. Recently I head one of my Grandchildren saying to their sibling that "Dad says there is no such word as "Can't do something", I turned away and smiled I guess we now had a family tradition, thanks Dad.
Firstly 5.45 x 39 is possibility I would think this is a job for a custom shop. The one business that comes to mind that could possible look after this work has chosen to take jabs at us with a stick, so I am hesitant to make recommendations at this time and I have no idea of the quality of their work. It is a shame that the Canadian firearms industry has to operate in this unprofessional manner.
As for the NR Tax, our price is plus tax!![]()
I jest. The vast majority of the time accusations of a NR Tax are completely unjust. We have been accused of them in the past, but our retail price is determined firstly by our cost.
Right now Maccabee Defence is been accused of charging this tax which in my opinion is completely unfounded. Maccabee did not have the luxury of copying a simple design like us, their R&D costs would have been higher, they ran bigger risks and their specialist market is much smaller than ours. People should remember that before attacking them, I wish them every success, they deserve it, I am confident that their SLR will provide great value for money.
This is not aimed at you "tootall", but why are Canadian gun owners so negative towards one another and so quick to attack, no wonder we can never have a united front when required. Anyway that is my sermon for this Sunday.
We will gear up our production to meet the demand, with any new product there is always an initial high demand and then it falls back to a steady rate, the difficulty now is judging what that rate will be, I think 5 to 10 K per year is very optimistic. You mentioned that your manufacturer can make 20-50 rifles a week(1K-2.5K/yr), I would say that initial demand is around 5-10K. At this rate, it would take 5-10 years to satisfy this demand. How do you plan on ramping up production?

I do think the demand in year 1 is going to be at least 5k then tapering to 1-2k per year afterwards.
Will the prototype be available for viewing by those making the pilgrimage to the store?
I might find myself in Brandon in a week or two...
