New guy question.

Well are you more interested in tactical rifles or more of an old west style rifle?

Edit: I see that you like the lever guns (I do too!). In that case, I would go for a lever action chambered in .357. The nice thing about that, is a gun chambered in .357 will be able to shoot .38 special which is a cheap to shoot pistol round.

Is anything chambered if 357 going to work like that, I just discovered that the Henry Mare's leg comes in .357 and oh how I like those.

The Henry big boy in 357 is one of the guns in my collection that I have to resist bringing with me every time I'm headed to the range. And 38spc is more fun than you can swing a stick at!

A Henry .22 was what cinched the deal for me getting into shooting, and my first solo purchase has been a .22 Henry Frontier, I would not be opposed to my second being a Henry :)

Thanks for all the great responses all!

I purchased a Henry Frontier from advice I received from some CGN shooters and it is a fun gun, bought a Loader as well that made refilling easy peasy

Exactly what Ozy says. 38 special and start loading your own, keep an eye out on gunnutz for a nice lever.
