I had one on my AR (the BDC reticle version) - was very pleased with it shooting at 100m at one of the ranges I belong to.
You can download the SpotOn app to get details on BDC reticle values at specific Magnification levels for whatever bullets you are using.

Only reason I took it off was to try an Aimpoint Pro (may get into 3 gun style shooting rather than just bench).

Red dots are tempting and very fun but the battery's seem like a Pain to find and a bit pricey, that app sounds pretty cool
 
Still have it on my AR, picked it up off Amazon last year for $200, great scope. It really makes shooting steel @ 200m almost like cheating, even off hand. One might even say boringly accurate. Lol

Having the app is a great addition, almost idiot-proofs it for different zoom levels
 
I had the compact 3x32 version, no issues.
Glass was clear and clicks were crisp.
Sold it because I didn’t have a gun for it at the time, regretted it later.

Give them a call. I know in the Barrie, Ont store they'll go back 2 weeks to sale prices right at the cash register. There's even an option to automatically search for the items last sale price in the registers software, all you have to do is ask so maybe just maybe they'll do it for an over the phone order.

just got off the phone with cabelas i was told once the sale is off they cant offer the same price, ill just keep an eye out ill see if a site sponsor has a decent deal on one.
