The future of Reloading - Mark 7® Revolution®

I bet there are far more 650's than 1050's
Of course there is!
Not everyone can justify the 1050 price point. If you can, though - I highly recommend it!
If you ever have a 1050 and then have to go load on a 650 - you won't be happy.
(My late father had a 650 at his place in Florida and I loaded my ammo for matches there on his press - I was not impressed.)

It's sort of like owning a Dillon SDB/550 and then being forced to use a Lee...:nest:

Point being more will move from a 550 to a 650 and even fewer from 650 to 1050 so the market from any level to MKVII will be pretty small, probably only commercial businesses will pony up

There are a lot of 1050s out there, most certainly not as many as 650s but still a ton, and MkVII have been taking a ton of orders for their units. Lots of regular shooters have been ordering the Revolution press, and now with the Evolution press they have gotten even more orders. When you look at the cost of even a 650 now, with a bullet feeder you're not that far off a new Evo (not motorized), so why not save a little more and get a press that is a magnitude better? I'd expect the 1050 market is going to stagnate pretty hard unless Dillon drops the price on them.

Or comes out of nowhere with a new/better unit.

Its a very fancy and smooth machine. I can see it having a market for the personal reloaders, Some people just like having fancy. For me I'm looking at a 650/LNL when I could probably get away with a turret. My only issue with it is the warrenty. I don't care how good qc is or how many engineering hrs went into perfecting it. Things break and accidents happen, and I hate to buy something that in 5 years I can no longer get parts for and even if I could would cost me as much as a new press. But that's just me. I still look forward to seeing how this guys do, and as other have mentioned, if they start pissing off Dillon, Dillon might just come out with some newer crazy press.

There warranty and support are stellar..

Dillon will have to do something or they will lose profit. That is if they even care... they have world wide mini gun contracts locked down.

Good video - the actions looks very smooth. I am curious how the powder drops work and how accurate it is.

i was thinking of upgrading to a 650, but now im starting to be convinced to go with one of these...anybody have prices for canada for one of the basic set ups?

Hi Nate18,

You would be stupid to order this in Canada.
You live at the border and as long as it is not fully automated reloading press you can bring it across just pay the tax.

Only Canadian distributor I am aware of is charging $1-1.5k+tax more... even after the exchange rate. When I approached them about it, the answer I got was pretty much this... we can charge whatever we like because this is our business.

They also do not support our LEOs or the Military. So :jerkit: :)

Hi GB, do I understand the average Joe will not be able to bring in a fully kitted Revo? Reference?

I was told that by the Canadian distributor. I also believe reading a number of times on CGN - for whatever that is worth - something about having to have an export permit - one is requirements under ITAR for automated reloading gear.

Cheers,

Definitely interesting gear but I sit and wonder, at 2-3,000 rounds an hour the pile ups must be epic.
Such as miss sorted brass (38 super in a batch of 9), small primer 45 in a batch of regular 45 or my latest favourite berdan primed 9...
In the automated presses is there an auto-stop feature when something runs low (primers/powder/cases/projectiles)?
Or does it just keep chugging along?
