Lever Arms 7.62x54R Non Corrosive

Every time I hear of non corrosive from lever arms.....it turns out to be corrosive....even when I call them directly on the phone and complain they still say it non corrosive....believe what you want i don't buy their $hit

I'm assuming this is the same ammo Canada ammo had before they ran out. The conclusion was that at least some of it was corrosive in that batch . I have some and it's good ammo and I clean after just in case

Made in 2002 should be non corrosive but of course who knows if they dump some old corrosive primers into the mix from time to time. I would treat it as non corrosive unless it gave me a reason to believe it's corrosive (like my gun gets rusty the day after shooting it)

Can't believe he went all the way around on the spam can with the key. I usually lose patience shortly after rounding the first corner and just use pliers to strip it off :)

Hard to get x54 anywhere! Lever isn't showing any on their site now, at least I don't see any!

At least in decent volumes that isn't repacked surplus at scalper prices. Should have bought it back then it seems. It would be nice to see some more 54r avail. Thought with just 2 rifles shooting it in Canada the demand may be more Niche like than we know. I could probably do with another couple thousand rounds and that should just about do me for 54r...

Only surplus in a crate I know of is from a un-named dealer that was removed. Most other dealers online or local to me a selling repacked ammo or rarely commercial.

I purchased 4 crates of this ammo. I’ve opened/ shot/ nail tested 3 of them so far and yes they are for sure corrosive. I’m assuming the 4th crate will be the same.

The crates that I got from CanAm had 2011 manufactured ammo in them, might they be non-corrosive? Hate to waste a cartridge on testing.
I can't believe they made a five minute video on opening a crate and can!

Taken from another recent thread on nail testing this surplus ammo.

"Alright here are the pictures with some descriptions! https://imgur.com/a/5Sr9v

I tested three rounds: number 1 is normal surplus corrosive, number 2 & 3 are lever arms' "non-corrosive" ammo (I took one round from each can, both are from factory 351 however)"

2011 "should be" non corrosive, but like I said, I think the Chinese sometimes find old primers and slip them into batches of ammo. :)

I can't believe it either, but for some people feel "unboxing" videos are very important. :)

After what they pulled with the 7.62x39 ammo that they said was non-corrosive but was I'll never buy from there again. Too bad they unloaded that crap on some CGN sponsors who also misrepresented the ammo, probably because they were fooled by lever.
