Rate my BCL 102

Epic thread in the creation... i can't wait for my BCL to come in.
I think i will take up hunting and start threads of it in the hunting thread, lure these type out!

Joking aside, where is OP at with his mods with all this?
What scope you ending up with?
Something 1-6 should fit the bill and use for this rifle very well in my opinion.

Myself still debating between 1-6 PST gen ll or razor gen ll...
Probably will end pst gen ll, as ironically as this sounds (especially in this thread), my bolt action has a razor 4-27 gen ll and sees most action haha
If i should hunt, black rifles only. My precision rifle with ESS chassis aint black enough to hunt!

So, I bought a Vortex Viper 2.5-10x44 for it.

I think it puts me nicely in the Viper quality and not too large.

Looking forward to it.

I odered up that 13.5" SLR , once it's in I'll sell off my 11.7 (at rock bottom prices)

The 11.7 will work nicely for someone with the stock bbl and cover the gas block up.

I put on the A2 grip, and ordered a .750 thread protector for it.

Going to look slick when I'm done I hope

Got a pic of the 11.7” on the stock barrel? Very interested in your rail.

I do not no. If someone has a stock BCL bbl, could you provide measurements from front of receiver at top rail to gas block to double check my measurements.

I know it uses mid length gas tube vs rifle length

The only thing I wish they'd change with the BCL is the part where it says: Ontario, Canada

They should change it to say: Made in Canada

This way you could put the word "Unfortunately" in front of that sentence

Sure thing, I guess being a mall ninja/special op's commando wannabe is the way to go, ha! We love it when we come across fools like that in the bush, marching around, or doing dive rolls and playing with the magnification of their scope till the animal runs away.

So much to learn young padawans.

A good hunting rifle? Reliable, quality, basic bolt action, wood stock, scope is nice and close to the barrel, 3x9 scope, longest barrel you can buy (26") in a flat shooting caliber that is the largest you can comfortably shoot without closing eyes or flinching.

This will fire EVERY time, is the safest, most quiet to handle, most accurate in ranges from 20-600 yards, easiest to clean, easiest to keep clean, most comfortable to hold and handle... and so on.

It's not about being a fud. I bought a BCL as well, just not for hunting. And only reason AR-10's are used for wars is because they can throw a lot of lead out very fast.

I absolutely never hunt with my semi auto rifles. I prefer my botl actions for my own reasons. But you sir are full retard. Here you are telling those "wannabe commandos" as you call them how they think there Rambo in the woods. Yet you then follow it up by being a condescending POS and basically saying you and your circle jerk friends laugh at anyone who doesn't carry a wood stock bolt action factory rifle.

Well not my fault you guys can't afford anything better then a basic woodstock 700. "me and my friends laugh at you guys". With your $400 rifle and $70 tasco scope. Claiming you shot a bull moose at 600 yards. Your for sure that guy.

Wannabe commandos. Commando away. If you like hunting with a semi, go nuts. Enjoy the woods and enjoy your rifles. This moron shouldn't be allowed in the woods with sharp scissors.

Here is my take on hunting with BCL102.

I am sure we all have more firearms than we need and we can use and I am no different and I am prepared to use my 102 this up coming Spring bear season and the reason is simply: because I can.

Do I have more accurate bolt action rifles better suit the job? The answer is yes, I have at least half a dozen or more rifles will do the job as good if not better.

But why I still choose the 102 because it's my right.

My right to use modern black sporting rifle in the woods and I am ready to show any uninformed CO or law enforcement officers it is actually a non restricted firearm and I am allow to legally hunt with it.

If everyone is out hunting like Hihi962 eventually our kids will be left with bolt action with no more than than 3 rounds capacity or worst a break action single shot rifle.

It's not that we need more than one round ( I rarely need a follow up shot on big game animals) but it is our right and the Liberal will eventually take all semi auto never mind scary black rifles off our hands said there is no sporting use just like what they did to the ARs.

Vortex Cantilever offset mount
Vortex Crossfire II 6-24×50 with sunshade (Removed, soon to use Vortex Viper 2.5-10x44)

Having variable power is very nice hunting a tree stand or a blind. I feel most confident scope set on 3x but I often use it up to 9 stalking birds and other stuff while waiting for the deer. Being able to go up to 25x must be nice for that. Depends on your style of hunting.

In a stand the weight isn't as much of a problem. I think id feel comfortable on 6X honestly... At this point you could get backup irons if you are worried a critter will pop at 10 yards.

Looks like a fun setup.

The biggest reason I bought something "tactical" to hunt with? Because I CAN!

When the politicians state that I can't have this tactical gun because it doesn't serve any sort of a purpose, I can proudly show them pictures of me hunting with it and bagging game with it. I can state that it does have another purpose that to look scary.

Funny how someone is stating that the BCL102 isn't sub MOA and so can't be a hunting rifle. How many Enfields and Winchester model 94s that people hunt with that aren't anywhere close to sub MOA guns?
Do you have a black creek labs 102 or is this just more of your vivid imagination?

Updated with the stuff I removed and the 13.5 HG on

For those wondering on specs.

11.7 and up covers Mid length gas (ie: stock 102 bbl)

This is the 13.5 and covers rifle length gas.

Specs:
SLR helix series for AR10
DPMS high
Armalite threaded bbl nut

The SA adjustable gas block is just at the end, right where I wanted it.

Well I’ve joined the ranks of the patiently waiting. Going ODG, Its gonna get a sightron Stac 3-16. Can’t wait! I was inspired by this thread. Shout out to Go Big Tactical for hooking me up.

I know what's more ridiculous... Asking the public to "rate my gun".
Buy it and/or modify it for your own satisfaction, not ours.

f:P:
Wanna know what's even more ridiculous? The hate the firearm community ####s out at one another. Anyways nice 102 you do you bud. Who cares what others think
